@Athena Procyk you actually can have another baby develop when you're already pregnant. It's pretty fascinating! Check out the woman who got pregnant and had twins who both had different dads. They're fraternal twins, meaning they come from two different eggs. What you mention happening (one egg splitting) is how you get identical twins. But it's extremely rare.

@@amandapanda7138 yeah that's not really.... you'd have to have sex with two people within the same ovulation cycle, ovulate 2 eggs and them be both fertilized with each different sperm at pretty much the exact same time. You absolutely CANNOT get pregnant after you already have an established pregnancy. Once you are pregnant your body releases hormones that stop you from ovulating again until after the baby is born.
