Your presentation goes from a generic library option display 1:37 to a different Library screen showing other options and an "Alchemy" set of options (2:10) with no explanation as to how that happened. Is there another video I can watch that gives more of blow-by-blow as to how to navigate library options and doesn't assume I know how to get to the "Alchemy" options?

Hi. Your vids. are great. Thank you for making them. Unfortunately, I do not have a MIDI controller (yet). Can you please teach how I can make drum beats (singer/songwriter) from scratch without a MIDI controller? When I open Logic Pro, I am lost when it comes to figuring out the drums. I can't even find the place that you started in this vid. Is that because I don't have MIDI? (Or, because I am that much of a beginner??). Thank you for your time and patience.
@CharlesCleyn3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dave, you can use something called musical typing if you don’t have a midi controller. A midi controller is only useful for the ease to play sounds that are available in logic. You don’t necessarily need one but it is easier. Have you tried GarageBand first? I have a video in making beats in GB coming soon.

And also i recommend you to keep moving forward with your good creative what you doing now!!! This is an invaluable experience!!!

why does drum machine designer and step sequencer make my kicks so quiet? i am having a hard time getting my kicks to sound the way i want them to. whenever i drag in a kick from my file library straight into logic as an audio file or in ultrabeat, it KNOCKS as it should. however, whenever i drag in a kick into the drum machine designer, step sequencer, or sampler, it is significantly quieter. what am i doing wrong? i don't want to add EQ or compressors because the way it sounds by default is already good.
