Have you tried hand embroidery?
It allows you to relax and regenerate while creating a unique piece of handwork. With each stitch, let your mind wander and you will soon unblock new creative ideas. As artists, modern hand embroidery has given us the freedom to incorporate illustration and painting techniques in a tactile medium.
We can’t encourage you to try it enough. There’s just one small catch… You might fall in love!
If you feel inspired to embroider a text in this way, Charles first stitched the contours in backstitch to get the base. Thereafter he filled out the space with split stitches. If you're new to these stitches this article is perfect for you: lekadre.com/embroidery-stitches/

The true artist makes what he/she does look easy. You both are true artists. It was so relaxing to watch this! I had a day full of stress and your email arrived, I watched this, and remembered that stitching will relax me -- literally stitching "relax"! 🌻🌻🌻

Hi there, beautiful work. I'm curious, what do you use to draw the pattern onto dark fabrics?

So lovely all that you do!! I have a question. Would it be the same to stich all the time backwards...As I can see you make one stich forward and the next one backwards. For me it is easier to go all the time backwards. I think the result is the same on the front, but obviously at the back side the stiches look different. I think I waste much more thread the way I do. But I'm not sure if that is a good reason. Hope you have understood. Congrats from Argentina.

Glad you're loving so many videos! To answer your question: One of the main reasons that we make one stitch forward and one back is to save on thread and because it feels more natural for us (It's how I (Elin) first learnt and therefore how I taught Charles to do it too). But if you feel that it's more natural to always go back then that's what you should do! It doesn't matter how it looks like on the back unless you plan to display it. The most important is that you do the way you find easiest and most fun - because that's the only way you will continue to create, which at the end of the day is the most important :) Keep it up! Cheers from Sweden

Hi! I was wondering; how do you keep hold of your work? You don't seem to hold it with your hands..

Yes, it is very common for embroiderers 😥 you can find on amazon, or website like cloudcraft for example. There is also a very good family company called dubko factory that makes amazing stands but it is more pricey. Hope you will find one that suits you well!
