But after Alan's second divorce, using his winnings to spend on her, causing his own downfall. At that point Alan has no more room for excuses.

Alan was always an irresponsible jerk even all the way back in episode 1 when he invited jake to live with charlie without even asking him or even when he first appeared but it was around this time where there were next to no excuses left for him

No, it was the time Alan siphoned gas from Charlie’s tank to compensate himself for less than $50 that he gave to Charlie, and *still* wanted him to pay back the remaining amount(after Charlie was willing to call it even.)

Hell, Charlie wasn’t even being a hypocrite when calling Alan out on it because he wasn’t (and couldn’t be) against Alan sleeping with one than woman at time, Charlie was just overall against literally anything that involved Alan living in Charlie’s house.
