I am huge fan of Sir Elton John - He is a musical genius- I even named my only child after one of his songs 🥹💫 Love Charlie, and his music, but in my opinion he didn’t do a great job with this masterpiece of a song… 🩵 The best cover of this song has always been by George Michael 🙏🏼 followed by David Archuleta’s cover 💫

(I went to his ‘Farewell’ concerts 2 X’s within a few months apart in ‘22 - IIR the year). HIS 🎹 is, and has always been a ‘Yamaha’ (whenever possible - either black or white colored) - NOT the red one Charlie’s playing here, or the others in this concert tribute.

Charlie Puth is one of the most talented musicians I've seen. There was a late night talk show where he took a coffee cup, recorded sounds made by the coffee cup and turned it into music and wrote a song on the spot. It was amazing.

👏 to everyone who was a part of this 🌟 Elton’s Awards tribute concert - not only Charlie! Since the videos 1st appeared on YT, I haven’t stopped watching them ALL - over and over again! Having watched other artists who’ve done ‘covers’ of his songs WITH him in the audience. THIS one got THE MOST positive reaction from Elton I noticed in his facial expressions of joy 🫠 as well as his singing along with everyone’s performance! The ONLY person who sadly 😥 is missing from his original band members is Ray Cooper on drums 🥁(having seen E.J.’s Farewell concerts live 2X’s in the last couple yrs, and at the age Ray is now, still plays w/ SO much energy & enthusiasm I’m in awe!). I’m 70ish and always 🩷’d Elton, and feel he hasn’t ‘lost it’, as SO many have written in 👎 comments on his recent ones. I can’t count the # that said things like: ‘he sounds like a constipated seal’, ‘a fat, old queen’, ‘time to retire’, etc. To me he’s even better NOW than in his past days - vocally as well as the additional 🎹 (vs not playing it as much then). IMHO this was a fabulous show in its entirety - and hopefully 🤞 will be available as such (but w/o the commentaries and interviews).
