This was the end of real journalism on ABC. Jennings and Gibson are some of the best journalists to ever live. Gibson claims he left because he saw the direction ABC News was headed in, with the light fluff social media-type stories. And what a shame it has become. Jennings would be appalled and Gibson has said he is appalled.

No it wasn't. Social Media is a growing part of the news, and it and the so called "light fluff" content you despise are a key and important part of it too, like it or not. Jennings, Gibson, and the past news anchors would be proud of how ABC News has grown. Quit whining about what real and what's not. And besides just to add that is not why he left.

After I watched that closing segment long time ago on tv, the snow storm blizzard came to NY and when it was over, I couldn't return back to work because of the snow, so because of that, I told my temporary boss that I won't be returning back to work because of Diane Sawyer taking over as wnt anchor.
