WHAT IS CITY OF GANGSTERS?
In this new management tycoon game you'll start a criminal operation from nothing, and grow it into a well-oiled money machine! Build speakeasies and illegal distilleries. Manage production chains and resource distribution. Set up illicit gambling dens and squeeze your debtors dry. Smuggle goods from out of town and bribe the police to look the other way. Grow a powerful crew and keep your rivals under your thumb. Eliminate competition and rule the city. But most importantly, keep the money flowing.
The year is 1920, the start of Prohibition in the USA. With congressional action, a huge segment of the national economy becomes illegal overnight: bars and saloons are ordered to close, distilleries and breweries go quiet, distributors shut down. But a new era is dawning: a gilded age for smugglers, black markets, illegal manufacture, and organized crime.
This is where you come in. You’re a new arrival in the city at the dawn of Prohibition, with ambitions of striking it big. Behind many of the city’s facades, people are building makeshift distilleries, secret loading docks, nighttime speakeasies. Work your way into this network, and the world will be yours.

I find it's best to keep at least one of each level of the speakeasy chain, rather than upgrading them all. You can passively sell any booze you may have. The start up cost quickly becomes trivial.

Maths for the gambling houses. All you do is multiply the 2 numbers together and this gives you the average % that is returned to the punter. 2% at 25:1 = 2x25 = 50% returned to the punter. ( so you keep 50% too ) 5% at 15:1 = 5x15 = 75% returned to the punter ( so you keep 25% ) Then if you want to go deeper, you take the average bet and multiply that by the % you keep to give an expected return per gambler. As you don't know they will gamble the average bet it's worth considering what the minimum and maximum returns are.

From my testing with a fully maxed out casino dice games were the best the thing with the low stakes games is they acomidate usually like 50-100 people the card games and other high stakes games are scammy for the player c of lower odds of a payout but 2people per table and half the time they arent there or have debt walk in customers will be there every turn the high stakes games are good only when the people get in debt and you go budge them to take their cars and other stuff Conclusion get like 1-2 floors of the efficiency upgrades then some low stakes games and a couple of the card games and your casino will be boomin Also you could upgrade casinos when you build them in the top of the menu so there wasnt really a reason to make one on the lower walk in customer building but if you didnt know its ok testing stuff is how tou find out

You're getting a 50% house edge on those slot machines, since if the odds were fair, that 25:1 payout would happen 4% of the time (or, alternatively, a 50:1 payout would happen 2% of the time).
