I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

yep, Pat Mcgrath, sitting and waiting for the blushes and by the time they decide to launch the quinzes eyeshadows would have disappeared. In a nutshell, will have to pay shipping costs twice if I didn't want to miss out on those.

As much as I love Pat McGrath, the extra I have spent buying everything separately instead of getting it in a bundle for less is maddening! Buying the Mega Mothership palette separately from the blush palette cost me an extra $26CDN. And that was AFTER getting 10% off both items!

GIRL. The magnet situation is absolutely MADDENING. I have a special acrylic case for all of my LE lippies and it looks like I can’t put my things away because half of them look like they’re trying to launch out of their spots. LISA, COME ON. I also can’t stand the little makeup applicators that come with quads or quints. Who is really using those? I hate feeling wasteful and throwing them away but let’s get real. 😂 You look absolutely stunning and this video was spot on!! ❤

I love sponge tip applicators! They're perfect for lid colors! That's what we used before there were a bazillion brushes lol and they still work great!

I do believe the 2nd cap is put in skin care to stop it front permanently globbing up the actual lid in travel to you. But yes, the not being able to open packaging is rampant. it take me nearly 20 minutes to open my Sisley blush. And for the price they should come open it for me! I even have a Pat Mcgrath blush that sticks so much I break my thumb nail every time.

Love your rants 🥰 Reg the extra lids in skincare: they do serve a purpose during transport; to avoid the product getting all over the actual lid and/or spilling out if the top lid unscrews. I keep them if i think I'm gonna travel with the item, but otherwise (most of the time) I just throw them out

Like Tatcha moisturizer - I have the little tiny Tatcha pots and just transfer product into them for travel. Takes up much less space. And I throw away the big pot lids.

The chanel complexion touch is made to spot conceal which is their justification for the 20ml size however its not a concealer and most of us who love it, use it all over the face as a foundation. 20ml is unacceptable especially considering the price tag ! And thanks for bringing to our attention the mascara size, I wont be getting it, I have other mascaras that I'm happy with, I'll pass. Thanks Charlotte❣

I loved this Charlotte! New subbie here, so glad I found you! Although I'm almost 59 years old I'm not longer interested in bargain cosmetics. I've used them and liked them in the past and even own a few now, but now that I'm established in life I really enjoy high end cosmetics, I'm a happily divorced, an empty nester, own my own home, and no grandkids (YET), with a good career. I've always loved makeup since about 12-13 years old. Every time we went to the store I begged her to but me just one makeup item. Now you must understand that in those days the drugstore makeup isle was miniscule compared to now! I made a makeshift vanity out of an old dresser and I had fold out lighted vanity mirror, which I still have today) and have been an enthusiast ever since! I have been binge watching you for a while and absolutely your videos, the content, your accent, knowledge of the cosmetics your review, and of course your beauty (inner and outer). And you make great recommendations. Can't wait to do some shopping soon. Definitely will keep on watching!

I agree about the extra cap in skincare. I think what they need to do is attach it to the packaging. So you screw the lid off, then lift the hygiene lid to access the product, then snap the hygiene lid back down and screw on the cap. It will serve it's purpose, keep the product from making a mess during travel, and you don't have to worry about setting it down, dropping it (always product side down on the floor!) or throwing it away. Problem solved!

Ok all are hilarious! The extra lid I’m pretty sure is for preventing spillage all over the inside of the cap during transport. Once you have it home and won’t be taking it anywhere I think you can take it out and throw it away.

I laughed out loud .. and almost cried .. because not only was it perfectly funny, but also because we ALL know what you are ranting about .. we have all been driven into a demented state because of them. I have the Huda Nude Light Obsessions palette and I can NO LONGER OPEN IT!! It is welded shut. I have broken fingernails, tried to use a tweezers (which BROKE) and used .. much to my annoyance .. an actual MAN, and it still won't open. One of my favourite shimmers is in there, laughing at me and my desperation and tempting me to just go buy another one for that shade alone (it is the bright pink/lilac one that I never in a million years would have thought I would use .. and now I ADORE her completely .. and I miss her .. sob!!). So I understand your pain and irritation, you would think that these brands would have people like us test the packaging for usefulness before they make them!!!! My nerves are shot now, so I have to lie-down xxxxxx

A thousand times YES!!! OMG this was so much fun. I too am a worshipper of Lisa Eldridge and wanted to store all of my golden beauties on top of my vanity on a tray but could not get them to stop fighting with each other!! Very disappointing indeed. Love them otherwise of course. 😂 The extra lid also had me cackling. Why?! Clearly there must be a better design out there. For me I loathe any packaging that will not let me get to every last bit of product!!!

I can't stand it when packaging makes it impossible for you to get every last little bit out (or close)! If I like a product enough to be hitting pan on it, so to speak, I want to be able to use it all! Foundations, glosses etc. Some packaging is just unnecessarily aggressive in not letting you access all of it. Loved this video, agree with the commenter that said this could be a stand-up routine 😂. You are saying all the things we are all thinking but with excellent delivery!

Yes! Brands that put me in magnet hell are Westman Atelier (blushes) and Lisa Eldridge lipsticks (thought they are my favs). If any of these get near each other they start repelling each other and falling all over the place. It really does send me over the edge. I have to turn every other Westman blush upside down to get them to behave. The Lisa lipsticks must be in an acrylic holder to get them to behave. by the way, You look stunning

I wholeheartedly agree! What gripes me is the tiny lip gloss that has exaggerated lengths in the tube & lid so as to disguise the actual length of the product within said tube. I can appreciate a petite lip gloss if I'm not duped into believing it's of normal size. Does not make me happy! Not even close!

Some of the powders are hard to open. I usually try the hinge first and then struggle at the very recessed tiny tiny space to put a pin sized piece to open it. Or when I open a loose powder, I get it up as a cloud or spill it all over the sink area. My sink has a beautiful finish as well as my hair. Lovely look first thing in the morning.

I have NEVER EVER laughed so much and so hard in my life!!! You nailed it!! All of your complaints are so true. One of my pet peeves is those insipid little brushes or sponges that come with even the pricier makeup and are completely useless. Yet, they’re there and fall out and disappear on the floor. I just toss them, but what a total waste!

Hi Charlotte! I’m a beauty specialist at boots and we had some training on the touché de tint and they said it wasn’t meant for all over application, and was supposed to be something you use to top up your makeup or you can use it for extra coverage like a concealer. So I think that’s why it’s smaller. Hope this helps ❤ love your channel ❤

For the double skincare lids, if you put the inner lid down inside the cap while you're using the product you won't get any counter contamination on it and it should fit right into place when you screw the cap back onto the jar. I find that works well and doesn't create extra mess. I'd also like to put up Westman Atelier and Fenty Beauty compacts as being a pain in the ass to open without risking a fingernail. Add in any kind of joint issue or movement disorder in the hands and they become almost impossible.

the shive on skin care is essential to keep the product protected during the storage i.e. before it is bought and open. Moisture loss is prevented as well..

Totally agree about Lisa Eldridge lipsticks, I have to do the same thing separate them from each other, I thought it only bothered me.🤣❤️ I wish all moisturizers would come in those airless jars. Whenever I have one of those jars after I’m done with the product I’ll wash it out really well and put a different one in it. Now if it’s a pretty jar I’m stuck lifting that plastic lid out cause the jar is so pretty. This was hilarious but also so true, loved this.🥰

I'm with you on the floppy mirrors in palettes, why won't it stand up, I only have two hands I can't hold the palette and apply my shadow, so I end up using my bathroom mirror which the lighting isn't the best or flattering. I also don't like when the mirror doesn't open wide enough, even if it does stand up, I can't get the top row if the pans are small. Agree with amount of product in the packaging, if I'm paying for it, give me the proper amount.

Well, well, well said. A Charlotte Tilbury mascara only lasted for two months and I expect my mascaras to last for three months each. My Lisa Eldridge lipsticks cling to my eyelash curlers. With my Juvia's Place palettes, I wedge the plastic cover under one the top corners and that stops the palette lid from slamming shut.

Charlotte Tilbury blush compacts and her Airbrush powder compacts also gave me fits when trying to open them. I always broke a nail. It's a little easier now since I've found a little trick to it but it doesn't always work. I hadn't realized the problem with the Anastasia palettes until you pointed it out. Now I will notice the hell out of it. LOL!!! And Pat McGrath individual blushes are also VERY difficult to open. I agree with EVERYTHING you mentioned as far as annoyance goes!!!

😂😅. I watched other KZbin influences talked about how they would refer the eyes shadow palette mirror open all the way so when they need to look very closely for apply mascara and fake lashes etc… the shadow part won’t hit them in the face. I think the extra lit on a cream jar is for extra seal so the product won’t spill out due to shipping and it last longer until you open it. You can throw it away when open. No need to keep.

the 3rd lid is just to keep the product from getting in the top lid during shipping. Keeps the lid clean, so throw it away at initial opening :)

Lisa Eldridge lipsticks and ABH palette are the worst to me :D I bought a specific acrilic lipstick holder to separate all the magnetics ones I have an episode that might seem strange, but I have lisa's lipsticks in order of color and type, every time I took one, the others mixed, stuck or fell, messing up the whole order I had assigned to them soooooo annoying 😆

My granddaughter and I each had 2 Lisa Eldridge lipsticks and we had a race down the kitchen countertop, the second lipstick magnetically pushing the first. Hard to open: Pat McGrath blushes and Chantecaille Blur powder.

Yup like I needed triples of Divine Rose blush since I bought the original single when it first launched. Again in the Galactic Sun Divine Blush + Glow Trio from the second Bridgerton launch. And now in the Divine Blush + Glow Cheek Palette from the Celestial Nirvana launch. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hate retractable lip (or eye) pencils that break. The stick snaps within the packaging and falls out, wasting half the product. Whenever that happens I think, should always go for the ones that need a sharpener.

I am frustrated with the plastic wrappers on lip pencils, eyeliners and such. I find it almost impossible to get the wrapping off. I end up using some manicure scissors and try to get to the strip that am supposed to pull when most of the time I slice into my other hand holding the product. Make it easier for us to get into our product, please!!

YES! I love House of Eldridge and have most of the lipsticks, but yep, mine are all tossed into a mesh pouch together because they can’t play nice. Uuuuf.
