We're nearing the end of my first Chart Your Cycle course, and in honor I thought I'd put out a Q&A since I get all sorts of questions about FAM and charting.
I'm also going to be doing just a personal, about me, Q&A. So, ask your questions about me.

I just found your channel, just commented on a different video, but none the less I wanted to say that I think you are AWESOME! Love your channel, love your approach to health and wellness, love your support of a vegan diet. I could go on forever. I will be binge watching your videos for the rest of the evening :)

Love your videos, Victoria. What thermometer did you use before you got the Daysy? Would also love to see a video on how you do your hair and how you take care of it.

I discovered this method after I already had my IUD inserted. Definitely interested in learning more as I impulsively removed my IUD after a month. I really want to use a natural birth control method!! August course would be awesome.

Great video as always (: A few questions I have for you is where else would you like to travel? What has been your favorite place to travel? And how long have you and you boyfriend been together?

Great video :) I just found your channel and have been binge watching like crazy! A few questions: where did you grow up? Have you always lived there? Would you ever move anywhere else?

Thanks for watching! I grew up in Iowa [30 minutes south of Des Moines], I live in Des Moines now, but I love traveling around, and am not opposed to living elsewhere.

Can you do a BBT video for woman with pcos and thyroid issues? Because we usually have lower than average temps so charting is difficult to know if ovulation occurred. At least for me anyway. Thanks!

We are mammals so the room temperature does not change our body temp.

Hi Victoria :) I was wondering if I can chart while I'm using hormonal birth control? and would you recommend FAM for teens?

I am just beginning this process but I am also still breastfeeding my 1 year old at night. He wakes a few times a night to nurse and it is not always at the same time. My question is, can I still rely on my tempreture when I do wake to nurse my son a few times throughout the night? He sleeps next to me, so I don't get out of bed, but I do wake up. Thanks!

I nursed my three kids until age 1-ish and was never confident enough to rely on temperature until they were sleeping through the night. My NFP-savvy MD says the safest way to rely on temperature is if you're getting at least 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep before recording. My youngest is 16-months, done nursing, and I've had 6 cycles. I track temperature in combination with cervical fluid and the ClearBlue fertility monitor - happy with my charts! (If you're interested, it is technically the Marquette method which has a protocol for breastfeeding: nfp.marquette.edu/sc_breastfeed_monitor.php). Congrats for nursing this long :)

Okay y’all I have a very open question. So, when you are not fertile and can have non safe sex, is it still important that he pulls out? I am just starting out and really want to avoid getting pregnant. So on my non fertile days should he still pull out? Sorry if this is super personal!

SamanthaRue from what I read in the book “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” it say it is okay for him to ejaculate inside you but if you want to be extra safe, have him pull out

I really want to take part in your class please! I live in Australia and am struggling to find someone near me teaching classes and I'm sick of being told I need to be on the pill. It gives me cramps and black spots in my vision and the implant messed with my moods, no cycle. To top it of it broke in my arm and was encased in scar tissue, not something i wish to repeat!

I would really like to take your august class. I definitely want to get off the pill and I don't want any extra hormones in my body so charting will be my new "birth control" :)

This depends on your cycle. Unfortunately I can't give you an answer just from this information. You need to track your temperature and fluid for an accurate answer.

I have to use an ear thermometer because my frenulum is too long under my tongue so it usually says I'm dead haha. This has been an issue my whole life. I've been using an ear thermometer, as long as I use the same one that should be okay right? I really don't want to use a rectal thermometer (what a way to wake up! Haha)

Vaginal temping will probably be your best option. Ear temping isn't really an option

Can you go to one side or the other of your frenulum, and still get to the back of your tongue?
@JMV1616
@JMV1616 8 жыл бұрын
No your frenulum is in the middle. I'm 28 and doctors have been taking my temp by ear for my whole life or doing that forehead swipey thing. If I do an oral temp it says I'm dead or have hypothermia because it can't get a read on me

It's a great way to see, and keep track of what's happening in your body. You can see what your temperature and cervical fluid patterns are.
