This is fascinating! Why is this not more common knowledge/discussion? I feel like this is going to make a HUGE difference in my life. Thank you so much, Victoria, for teaching me how to learn more about myself so I can look after myself and understand my body better. You are the best!!! x

Loving the condensed version of this video! Putting this idea into practice has made a huge difference in my life! I use to work against my body, I felt like it was an inconvenience, one that I had to dominate, and force into line with my agenda. Now I work with my body and use its natural Rythm as a guidepost. I Enjoy all my tasks so much more now and my body is way happier.

Victoria! You’re the best. I started noticing how my moods would shift throughout my cycle before learning about the 4 phases from you. Knowing this now makes me feel a lot better. Especially when I feel introverted during my luteal phase or how I struggle to listen to others during my follicular phase😬 Our body’s are truly amazing, thank you for being a spokeswoman for them!

I used to be so great at intuitively understanding my phases. Then I moved to a new country (and got married) and my menses prolonged by three weeks. When it finally arrived it came in swinging! I'd spent years healing my cycles and now it felt like I had completely regressed. It's been almost a year and I am finally realizing that I've got to relearn this in order to give my body what it needs in this new circumstance. Your videos are very helpful. I watched the older ones too--wow have you grown and eased into the role you are serving! Thank you so much for your work and time.

I love this! I think in society we kind of feel the pressure to be “on” ALL the time when it really makes sense to go with the flow of our cycles and how we’re feeling instead of trying to fight it.

For some reason I am super emotional in my follicular phase and then feeling super energized and gung-ho in my luteal phase. I was on the pill for 12 years and am just starting my second cycle off of it and I am loving listening to my body! I had the best period, less pain, less bleeding, it was awesome. Does anyone else experience “Mittelschmertz?” It hurts so bad :(

This was so helpful! It really laid everything out well so I can better understand the phases, the benefits that can come out of them and the imbalances to notice. I love knowing about the tools that we can use within our body, mind, and soul to become our best self! Especially the superpowers that us women carry!

Thanks for the video :) I wish I'd seen videos like this years ago, so my expectations of myself would be more realistic. What's helped me to understand this best is charting my underlying emotions alongside my temperature, cervical fluid, and cervical position on my chart. Seeing that so much of what I feel is tied to my physical body helps me know what to expect and better gauge my responses to life events.

But was curious if you still had the same perspective and knowledge about it now, and thought about writing to you for an updated version :) never got to write to you, but if came anyway, thank you!! 😃 and thank you for "holding my hand" and give me the courage to ditch the pill after many many year😣 love both your channel and the varieties of videos you make, such an inspiration ❤️ lots of positive vibe, from Millie (Denmark)

This makes so much sense. Recently I started tracking my period using Clue and I found out I felt kind of sad everytime before the period begins, and after the period I was feeling energized. It was a bit confusing at first, because I thought my period was the sad part and the rest was just, well, normal... This explains it so much! Thank you

Everytime I'm like yayy my period is here! And then the day after I'm like a zombie (passed out a lot, got blood infus...) so even though i'm happy to get it - it's still very hard days for me. But at least it's once every 4-6 months (was even worse, it got better!)

I just had the thought that the 4 seasons correlate with the 4 phases of the menstrual cycle: (1) Menstrual/Winter (2) Follicular/Spring (3) Ovulatory/ Summer (4) Luteal/Fall

I've been doing complete charts for only like 4 months, but some things are repeating at the same time. I get super emotional for a few days about one week before my period. This is also the time I tend to catch a cold if that happens. Yet this is not the most tired phase of my cycle. I find it hard to slow down because I get so many ideas of what I could do! But the first week after my period is always the most "meh", like I've lost my rhythm. Btw the best self care (for me) is taking walks, dressing up and going out :^D Idk I rarely feel my best just sitting at home

I understand that follicular is supposed to be one for planning and menstrual when u relax and ovulatory when u go all out and luteal when u bring things to a completion. This i think is relatively easier to do when you're a working person who is in charge of her work for example a businesswoman. She can schedule and reschedule her meetings and tours etc according to her phases. I find cycle syncing pretty challenging to accomplish as a student where we dont know when an exam would come up or when there would be any sports or other co curricular activities taking place. I obviously can't reschedule them according to my cycles. Any tips on how to cycle sync as a student?

My follicular and lutear phases are the complete opposite that you´ve mentioned. During my follicular phase I don´t want to do anything I´d rather be alone and in my lutear phase I tend to do everything that I´ve dragged during the month and suddenly I´m super productive. Also five days before my period I feel the urge to bake something in the oven, it´s kinda weird

I’m in my literal phase right now, 9 days away from my period and I’m feeling the slow-down/easy irritation/chocolate craving. Also my voice pitch is a bit lower than last week. Does this happen to anyone else? It’s my least favorite phase of the 4 because of the demands of life/society but I’m trying to learn to make the best of it.

Its a method people use to line up their cycles with the lunar cycle! Ovulate on the full moon and menstruate (new cycle) with the new moon. Apparently this is what we are designed to do but artificial light and other endocrine disruptors have messed that natural cycle up in most women. You sleep in a pitch black room every night and on the day before, the day of, and the day after the full moon your put on a nightlight to mimic the full moon or if you're lucky enough to have a window in your bedroom that can let the light of the moon in, just open your shades on those 3 nights. Your cycle should start to adjust so you ovulate on one of those nights where your nightlight is on.

Olivia Reinhardt ”lucky enough to have a window in your bedroom”.... Bedrooms legally have to have a window to have a person sleeping in them for fire safety... Sounds like your sleeping in a ”bedroom” not up to code....

While I like the concept of connecting to your body and embracing what’s happening, the idea that you will act a certain way based on your cycle or that you should wait for a time of the month to do something feels gross to me. Womanhood shouldn’t limit us and I think you can be aware of what’s happening to you while maintaining your life. I can’t tell my boss, sorry I can’t give you my best work until my period is over or can we push this networking event out until I’m in my ovulation phase?

Hey Haley, when you say "we have to act a certain way in your cycle", I totally understand where you're coming from. Cycle syncing can seem too astringent and tight, yes! But true femininity is finding your own flow within the cycles that you experience. It's not about STICKING to one thing, it's about finding ease with the world around you.
