Thank you so much for answering my question! Your assumption is dead-on, and your answer almost brought me to tears. Dream big is huge, and going on a post it where I will see it regularly! And I have it set in my calendar to call you in six months and let you know how much my life is changing, for the better, for your advice to go after my dreams and passion. You are the best, and thanks again!

This is exactly what I needed. I was just contemplating the balancing act of my passion vs full time job. I work evenings, so it seems I'll have to run the 5 hours of sleep, focus on my passion in the morning/afternoon then finish my day at work. Sometimes you just need to hear it from outside your own head. Great work as always Chase!

Kobie Mercury-Clarke sleeping should be a priority in our life. Chase also talked about sleepong. You will burn out very fast. Been there...

For that second question, Chase brings up the solid point of focus being able to focus to achieve the goal. I work 40-50 hours a week, run my photography business and produce KZbin videos. How do you fit all of that in 7 days and 18 hours per day, I dont sleep 8 hours a day lol. You have to focus on making that balance, making that time. Balancing out a schedule. Getting ahead with content or whatever you need to do. Is it easy? Nope. But can it be done to try and reach your ultimate goal? Yes. If it wasnt for the burden of student loans, I would do what Chase suggests. Trim expenses and try to just run my photo business full time. Just at this point in life, its not justifiable.

So much of the road to mastery is learning how you learn and your own creative process. I know that there are distinct cycles in the way that I work. I know that I am going to hit a low spot and want to chuck the entire project at the next person who comes in the room. Experience tells me that this means I am on the verge of a break-through and I need to keep pushing. Magic happens when I allow myself to draw all of my attention inward and single focus. Chase was bang on about balancing the daily grind with a side hustle. It boils down to mapping that shit out. Blocking out the time so that it gets done and allowing myself to hyper focus during those blocks on the tasks at hand.

PURE VALUE Chase... i know the fact that i didn't go to college just made me go harder into mastering my musical personality and exploring into myself... and now i know i'm on my way to greatness because i know I'm getting better FAST thanks for that, much love

The 5PM-11:30PM is where the passion happens here, and no complaints at all. I just managed to find a day job two years ago that I actually leave when I walk out the door at 5 (never later). It's validating to discover that the strategy of having a compartmentalized financial vehicle weren't discovered by a time management moron like myself lol. Thanks for this.

I love this show, Chase! For months I've been listening to your show, and I've also been procrastinating. I'm an aspiring photographer, and yesterday I just booked my first photoshoot for the exact kind of work that I want to be doing! A mentor of mine hooked me up with this rad client, and I am over the moon. Your advice is so helpful. Also, I would love to hear some of the e-mails you get from people who have started taking action towards their dreams - so inspirational and will remind all of us of our own possibilities!

Great answer to the second question, there are a lot of people telling you, do your thing but DONT quit your job... I do believe that we spend so much time and money in things that are not worth it. So I'm saving up a little to start again as a freelancer and then doing something else to pay the bills. Also I won't get a new cellphone or a new fancy camera, we can do so much with so little. Thanks for taking about this possibility!

I get that crazy pull / focus on all kinds of things. I'll get obsessed with one project and do / think about nothing else until I've finished the specific project... then I just kind of move on. I lost most interest in that thing after I'm done. Sometimes I'm very focused / obsessed for a couple years, sometimes just a few days - mostly just until I reach whatever goal I had. I wouldn't consider myself a master in those fields, but I mastered that specific task. These have varied wildly - from photography, building arcade cabinets, learning to ride a motorcycle (then riding across the country), right now I'm focused on creating a comic book / graphic novel. I have hundreds of project ideas... but I haven't found anything I want to focus on for more than one or two projects...

I'm in the same boat as Megan, I work a full time job doing Automotive Photography and Social Media for a couple local car dealerships, but my dream is to be a full time freelance automotive photographer. I want to shoot more creatively styled car shoots or commercial shoots. I work really hard and I love being around cars all day, but it is tough to find freelance work (that pays) and try and move from the 9-6 to being my own boss, and doing what I love.

The hyphen thing is my biggest issue. I haven't mastered any of them because there are too many: Actor / filmmaker / voice over actor / tv actor / stage actor / stage musical performer / KZbinr / blogger / puppeteer

Hey Chase. is it possible to get a message about the books , people you reference in your videos? IE In this one you referenced Elle Luna. I had to re-watch it a couple of times to catch the name correctly. Sometimes you throw out names I want to follow up on and I can't quite understand the name.
