Chaser on ACA - Osama Bin Laden breaching APEC security

This is the 'A Current Affair' story on the Chaser crew from the Australian TV Show "The Chaser's War On Evertything". The Chaser team made pretended to be a Canadian motorcade and got within 10 metres of President Bush's hotel. They were only caught when one of the team (Chaz), left one of the vehicles dressed as Osama Bin Laden. This incident left Australian police and politicians furious, making a mockery of the US$138 million security budget for the event.

Bin Laden didn’t need to be in the country he was terrorizing to cause damage. I can only assume he’d be doing illegal business deals or something that’s not immediately destructive or urgent.

of course the stunt was staged, Chasers thought it up and attempted it - the 'security passes' were created and actually said 'this is fake, this is a prank' or something to that effect, and the ONLY reason they were stopped as soon as they were was that they stopped and told people that it was only a prank, BEFORE they were let into a zone of security that would have been bad for them legally - they were actually jailed for a bit, as well - this was not 'staged' in the way you mean it.
