I'm in tears....as a single mom, I had to save a little to buy my older son a used acoustic guitar. We got home from picking it up and he went on KZbin. In less than 30 minutes, he learned 3 chords. It breaks my heart I cannot afford lessons for him but our love for music will inspire him to learn regardless. This is a great song - the three chords represent me, my older son, and my younger son....we may not have much, but we have what we need and we love music! I'm not really a country fan, but I really like Chase Rice, because his lyrics say so much. As a single Mom, myself of two, I felt initially that $150 guitar is NOT "cheap". That's two weeks of grocery money, for us.... However, what that cost in terms of journey, art, music, and expression.....if you can perhaps swing that.....then do what ya can! But still, I ask myself....is it the money....or the love and encouragement of a parent...and love of your child and their talents!

Wow! I'm over 50 and just learning to play guitar this year via KZbin, and heard the "3 chords and the truth" reference early on. Don't know how I missed this great song and video until now, but it put a lump in my throat. The boy looks like my oldest did at that age.
