I can guarantee you nick... this will instantly become your favorite plane.

15% was spot on Nick, thank you...left enough pitch down to loose height quickly and a small flare on landing.... Just need to do the same for the motor run now, there's a lot of power in that little motor!

Thank you for another superb build video. One thing I would add to your check-list is programming in high motor break on the controller, to prevent the propeller windmilling after the climb.

Nice. A lovely touch on the spoiler. When cutting wire you either never find it again or A&E remove it from your eye!

Once again, a super build video with lots of excellent building tips. I like how the complexity of each of your glider builds (the complex FVT3 wing excepted) has slowly ramped up - but your message is: "take your time, think it through and it'll be fine".

Enjoyed this build, lots of useful tips. Thanks for sharing. Clear covering looks nice but glider turns stealth at height. 😀

I was surprised how good it was on a flat field it shimmers in the sunlight 😍

I recently built a fRESh which looks a similar construction to this. For the spoiler I put a small magnet on the end of the servo arm and this mates with a length of steel wire on the underside of the spoiler. There are also 2 small pairs of magnets that came with the kit to hold it closed. I have a video but can't attach to this comment.

Nice idea I might try that on the balsa dune freak

Here's where I got the idea kzbin.info/www/bejne/roC1fZiJfL52pMk I also set the servo to open slowly to give me a chance to feed in some elevator.
@tonysmith41422 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick, Did you need to have any elevator compensation mix for the spoiler? Does it pitch up or down? Cheers Tony
@NickChittyFlying2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony it pitch’s down I have about 15% up elevator preset. I deploy brakes on a a switch

Hi, is this pushrod method better then a torsion spring linkage for the V-tail?

Hello Nick! Great build series. Going to start my own OZeRES build soon and have a quick question about covering - did you cover the fuz and air brake or just paint them? Undercoat? Thanks for the assistance.
