Chaszel makes some slick barrels. Their shop is about 20 minutes up the road from me. I’ve never ordered one but I’ve been tempted lol

Good morning pastor! Generally speaking, Im not a fan. But that was based on non rifled short adaptors. Shotgun/shotgun have always been great. But non rifled are not accurate. When I saw they made fully rifled and 16/18" was possibility.. WOAH NELLY, BACK UP BACK UP!! I got on the waiting list. It was a while!! Other calibers was tempting, but as a woods loafer, the 327 offers so many options!! Not ta mention its a hand-loaders and casters dream!! I have high hopes! I am concerned about my old 410... But will try not shoot any full house loads and am watching and choosing powders that deliver least pressure for velocity. I plan on another video or two at the range.

As you saw, Im tight in Beretta that I want it in. But that could be good. I did some fitting and its opening and closing and I fired a test. Hit POA!!

The green rifle is actually made by Savage, its their "turkey bottomlands" model. I have one in 12 gauge, very well made has a excellent trigger. If your adapter doesn't clear the extractor you can use a dremel to remove some more of the rim till it does. Some of Chaszels adapters don't have a extractor cutout at all so I cut them myself.

Looking forward to seeing how it performs. Seen several conversions fired but only at 7-10 yards. It would be more interesting to see some longer ranges shot such as 25 or 50 yds.

I would like to have an accessory barrel in 25 acp that is 16" long because when 22LR is all used up, 12 acp can still be loaded and at about 2 grains of powder to reload them, one pound of powder will reload about 3500 rounds!

@GeorgiaRidgerunner they are inhibited by the sights on most shotguns. But if ya get at least 5" or so rifled. They can shoot pretty well.

I have several of these in 12ga 18" reduction. I have two in 410 with a 5" Length. One 38 special, the other in .327 federal. 12ga adapter calibers are as follows 45/410 8", at 18" 357 Remington maximum, 44 magnum, and 45-55 Walker. I intend to get two 12ga - 45-70 @ 24", as i want a double barrel setup. 12ga adapter are all used in my sighted rifled barrel i using for the 72-150 Mukwa express project. Mountain man

Mornin MM!! That was my first introduction. Two 45/70 inserts in a ScS with rifle sites! What a time regulating them!! But end was good preforming HAMMER 12ga - 45/70 gun!!!! That was twenty five plus ago and it stuck in my head! Mow I have one of my own. If it works well it wont be my last. Nicely made and finished. Stay tuned for range videos once this KOLD goes away!!

@@cw2a yea regulating a double may be interesting process. If I do this I have find the right double platform for it. Currently the only double 12 I own was my grandfather's. So not the right fit. Been hashing around in myself to what I want sxs or be different with over/under. Now that u did this video, I may do my 410 setup. Even though you showed a longer sleeve most likely I will stay with the 5" for convenience of a package size.

Yes 100%. The short "adaptors" for shot shells are awesome. But caliber conversions are mostly junk. Make them longer and add rifling it can be a huge improvement. Im hoping to get good results here. Thanks for the visit!! 👍🏼❤️‍🩹🙏

Agreed. Ill likely be using more 32 L AND h&R too but ability for the supah mag for "extra" is when put me over the top!! In my case, the shotguns strength is of a concern. It is a mono-block design, so thats better. But Ill still curtail top loads.

I think its the tube they ship these in. Round tube are BAD NEWS for the package handling systems. Its all on them not changing that!!

I got my adapter, but the firing pin on my little Yildz isn't long enough to hit the primer.

There should be ZERO difference between surface of the primer. Head space should be unchanged. Chamber adaptor loaded with a cartritage should be flush with chamber end. Same as shotgun shell. If not, there is a problem with the adaptors chambering.

@@HenryEberhardt-z3r It is supposed to fit all 410 single or SxS firearms. But if it actually would... Is a guess. I have four different 410 guns and it only fits in one. I think it could be made to fit in another quickly. And they others by shortening the barrel. I don't want to modify in that way st this time. I have another firearm coming soon and I will see if it fits this and decide.

The one it wouldn't fit in is a old choked barrel.... Your new ones take choke tobs at the end of the barrel.

Yeah, the newest one is that Stevens and that takes choke tubes. But the folding half one is from the 50s that had a full choke. That H&R that it wouldn't fit in was probably a choke barrel. I've got a new Charles daily coming and I'm hoping that it fits in that.

Hello Phil!! Calibers are all gonna be determined by gauge. So where a 12g might get a 45 ACP it wouldn't fit in a 410. But there complete line up should be on there web site. If its not available, sign up for email notices. Also if ya need accuracy, stick with rifled inserts. Good luck!

Doesn't fit, no problemo. Just get the correct insert. For ALL pistol calibers, get the 8-9 inch inserts. Problem solved!!!
