I guess I'm missing the point of this... Why wouldn't you just reload your empty plastic shells/hulls with black powder? They work just fine, you don't spend a dime, and you can load multiple shells using crimps instead of glue.

I just reload regular shells with 12:15 blackpowder or blackpowder sub and I have some magtech brass. I started doing it because 410 is unobtainable or hyper expensive.

It's like you have only a chamber without barrel. Once the shots are out of the adapter, there is nothing to keep the pressure from escaping around the shots. The velocity seem really low.

James William Nadeau this is a fairly mild load. I have tested their adapters such as the 12Ga to 410. And interestingly the velocity is still really good, even though it’s 410 from a 12Ga barrel

You might try obsolete rem 57 or cci157 sleeves with a drinking straw section if you have some or can get them cheap. Also try waterglass instead of crazy glue.

Full brass will let you use 11 gauge materials and a full bore slug if you wanted to.

QUESTION ? Could you not put the the super glue gel between the shot and recessed/overshot card ?? It should be easier to keep the super glue off your fingers , ( stick the recessed card to the shot & case ) , and maybe make storage easier ,, great vid. !

TY 4 ur video's ! Was a Big Fan of BP while N Ore-gun N 80's. Had several BP rifles. Donated them 2 Missionaries going 2 Alaska ! They used them 2 Harvest meat 4 remote Mission they had. This device wudda been perfect 4 some wild game birds 2 harvest!

Great idea until you hit the shot card and super glue. Why did they not design a plastic shot cover that would pressure fit over the shot using the case walls to hold the shot cover in place?

Because you could just pre-load one or two of these and shoot them with a 209 primer adapter. Much simpler than reloading brass shells that eventually will need to be replaced.

Just reload plastic shells. They work just fine with bp and you can crimp them like normal.

Will it work with real ffg black powder. Not the nitrocellulose replacement. Just curious what the shell can take. Might have to pick one up.

It will take black powder, but why would you want to have to clean the mess black powder leaves in your barrel? Just curious, maybe you like the smoke and smell of black powder-LOL

C Kim actual black powder is less corrosive than pyrodex. It’s just more volatile and expensive to ship.

I enjoy the hobby I guess. No one makes there own anymore. I just enjoy the old time sport of things. I dont mind cleaning things. If you go sulfurous it's less of a pain. Love your videos

Pressures too high. BP shells are about 5-6000 "units of measure", smokeless 9 to 10500 "uom". Way too simple but BP guns aren't designed for smokeless loads.

A ridulous concept. The barrel is efectively 3 inches long, the gas will escape past the wad and target animals will be wounded.
