As someone who is trying to deinfluence myself from buying polish, I prefer polish KZbinrs like you who don't just do swatch and reviews. I love seeing declutters, budget talks, and searching for dupes within an existing stash. I prefer watching people like you, Nicole, and Linry who are honest about the fomo and impulsive nature of this hobby, as well as the buyer's remorse. I unfollowed all the nail polish brands on Instagram, but I still love polish content that isn't an ad, so I'm happy you don't just swatch and review so I can still engage with the hobby while not feeling the need to buy. I love the variety of your videos!

I’m in agreement about the organization. If things are all whacky and disorganized it’s unsettling even if it’s out of sight. I decided to go through my stash and get organized and have a place for everything. I’m on a no-buy for a while as I just bought a car. Previously not having a car payment meant I had extra cash. Now the budget is tight. And my plan is to dive in and enjoy all the polishes I already bought.

I love this mani especially the bug... very elegant!. I had 3 weeks to get married and still get compliments on how special it was. Very minimal , grabbed gerber daisies at a flower stand and handed each guest one. My dream dress I found in about 45 minutes. I was the last of my friend group to get married. After 4 weddings, I learned a very valuable lesson for my own wedding: comfortable shoes! If your feet love flip flops, wear those down the aisle. Don’t feel pressure to wear fancy shoes at all. Unless you want to of course.

On the honeymoon question, the best advice I got was to remember that a honeymoon is less about your ultimate vacation and more about what you're going to feel like doing right after you get married. And predicting that depends on a lot of factors: your temperament, how complcated and intense your wedding is likely to be, how much you're DIY'ing for the wedding, your travel style, and how easily you get overstimulated. My wedding was small but we did a LOT of it ourselves, and I just had this instinctive feeling that a low-key honeymoon would be better for us. We took a bigger trip about three months before the wedding that felt very honeymoon-like (in fact, I found out later my mother was terrified we were eloping!), but for our actual honeymoon we went to the mountains an hour and a half drive from our house and spent 4 days hiking, watching movies, and eating dinner in tiny family-owned restaurants. It was perfect for that moment. I absolutely could not have handled getting on a plane and coordinating some complicated vacation right after putting on the wedding. But that's me and us. Someone else might feel super fired up for an adventure after their wedding.

Girl! I feel your stress when it comes to unorganized polish drawers! My whole nail room is a disaster right now. I keep saying “this week I’m gonna get my nail room back in shape”…needless to say, it’s still a mess! Lol! Maybe I can get it together next week (but don’t hold your breath). 😂 As far as shoes for your wedding, I’d suggest something cute for the ceremony but then something comfy for the reception. I wore some kitten heels for the ceremony and then wore my cowboy boots for the reception. Nobody could see them under my dress and it made it so much easier to dance and mingle afterwards. My sister in law followed my suggestion and she wore some converse under her dress.

From the PNW and the lack of vitamin D is REAL. When I was younger I never seemed to notice, but since hitting my 30s, if I don't get daily vitamin d supplements I just never stop sleeping or feeling run down. Like 3 hour naps every day after work on top of a full nights sleep. I also recently discovered my blood sugar levels were out of wack, and keeping those more level has also helped.

I live in Washington state and going into fall and winter, there are even billboards that appear to help educate people about the link between vitamin D and MS. Pretty standard in my experience for doctors to suggest (non horse pill sized) vit D here just because of our northern lattitude (tip when you get to maintenance mode, calcium chews are a good twofer to get both calcium and D....in a "candy" form 😅) How about some mani videos where you feature a polish from your collection that you've never worn yet? It doesn't have to be a weekly thing, but maybe a chat and mani once or twice a month? I like watching you stamp because you seem so relaxed doing it. You're the person who actually got me into stamping (because you made it look easy). Some version of ballet slippers in lieu of the heels? There are people on Etsy who do custom ballet flats.

Good luck with the wedding planning! My vote for a honeymoon destination would be Hawaii. If money were no object, I would go to Bora bora. For your honeymoon, you need to decide if you want tropical or not, and if you want a resort or not. We chose a tropical, all-inclusive resort and it was wonderful! I would have to research to see if it’s still there (this was 25 years ago), but it was worth every cent. You could have a destination, like, say, Ireland, where neither of you have ever been, or even choose something like Iceland! The world is yours to explore 💖🫶🏼

I love this type of content. Just sort of chilling and hearing thoughts and opinions. My nails are not well (won't get into details), so I'm needing to take a moment to let them grow away from harsh chemicals for a bit, and watching a video like this lets me live vicariously haha. As for wedding shoes, I wore brown oxford's that my dad gave to me (they used to be his haha). It felt appropriate since I'm not a super traditionally feminine dresser myself.

Considering my queue right now was your Know Your Stitcher and then this video back to back, I'll watch whatever you want to make! It's your channel, have fun with it! I enjoy everything from the swatch videos, destash, and these more hang out type videos. Hm... for the honeymoon I have no experience for it, but I know the hot springs in Iceland are nice! They're near the main city and you can literally get a bus from the airport directly to the hot spring resorts. We just went to Iceland in April and it was super pretty, we did the whole circle of the country but Reykjavik was really nice and walk-able (we even went to a 1 Star Michelin restaurant and it was like a 7 minute walk from our air bnb). I also had the best clementines in my life there, which is unrelated but important nonetheless.

You can declutter makeup (specifically eyeshadows) and instead of throwing them/some away, use it to make your own polish. That's what I'm thinking about doing with my palettes that I decluttered.

I did Costco flowers for my wedding and they were so inexpensive and I loved my flowers. We did all of the bouquets, table things, boutonnieres, etc.. and saved probably thousands of dollars by doing it ourselves. And this was a hundred years ago so I'm guessing we would have saved millions in todays day and age. I can't think if you mentioned a cake or desserts but honestly Costco cake is delicious and it would be so easy and cheaper to get a big ol Costco sheet cake and have a small table cake if you guys want to do the whole cutting of the cake thing for all to watch. And then the sheet cake gets cut in the back and no one sees you have a sheet cake, if you care about that thing. Planning a wedding is stressful if you put all of the emphasis on the wedding. It's just a party so... it doesn't have to be the PERFECT INSTAGRAM WEDDING/RECEPTION. We went to Cabo for our honeymoon and ate chips and guacamole for a week and it was fantastic. We didn't do any excursions, we stayed at the resort the entire week. It was great. If you want to be real fancy, I have been to a Sandals resort and they are fabulous. See you at PBE!!

I really enjoy your content because it isn't latest greatest focused all the time. New releases are fun and all, but I like seeing new stuff to do with my old polish! As someone else said, make what you'd watch and we'll all be happy! Our honeymoon was in Italy. My husband is part Italian and speaks enough to ask directions etc... We are comfortable travelers who avoid stress when we can. We like to book fly/drives and make reservations just for the first and last couple days so we're not worried about where we're staying the day after and before travel. For Italy we stayed the first two nights in a town called Como on Lake Como ~ unbelievably picturesque mountain lake town in northern Italy. We then drove around Italy, staying 1-2 nights at each stop ~ Florence, Bologna , Sienna and Rome before finishing the last few days in Venice (personal favorite) where we got to ditch the car before heading in (by then we'd had enough driving!). We're both foodies, so finding unique local places to eat was a fun game and found us meeting great people. We went to see the stuff we felt like and didn't go running from one "must see" to the next like the tour groups. Did we "do it all", no absolutely not. Did we have fun and enjoy the experiences we sought out ~ hands down yes! It was also special to exploring a place one of us knew and loved and enjoyed sharing with the other person. I got to see a place he had a connection to, and he got to see it through fresh eyes of someone close to him. We both thought that added a lot to the experience, specially as a honeymoon. Didn't hurt that it was October so the weather was still nice, but it was NOT tourist season :-). Forgot to say - if you want a super low stress, just focus on each other and let someone else make ALL the decisions with NO driving or booking rooms, restaurants...I have to say the couple of cruises we have tried were amazing (both for continuing ed for our jobs, but no less fun when there are minimal lectures!) One to Alaska, one Bermuda. I have to say Alaska is absolutely amazing ... you can go on as many or few excursions as you want, go out dancing and drinking or hide away together in your room. Never thought I'd like it so much, but everyone was super nice, and I'll never forget watching the whales following behind us sending up periodic sprays snorting into the air (definitely recommend a room at the back end of the boat...quieter and great views!)

Fatigue can really affect being able to think and come up with ideas, too! It's possible that the vitamin D deficiency fatigue has given brain fog as well, because it costs energy to use your brain for more than the most basic things when you are tired. (Speaking from experience with chronic fatigue)

I would love to see dupe/comparison videos. When my husband and I got married we chose to put a down payment on a house rather than do a honeymoon right away. However, we did do a "honeymoon" about 5 years later and chose thailand. We spent 12 days and split it up between tiny little rustic huts for $12 a night (right on the water!) And nice air bnbs with private pools with AC. We are thinking of planning another trip there for his 40th in a couple years.

My dh got me an engagement ring on our 20th anniversary (we were too poor for diamonds way back when, lol), and it was important to him that it be big and sparkly, and it was important to me that I could wear it ALL THE TIME, lol. I know me, and I would leave it somewhere and that would be tragic. So I have a nice sized pear shape solitaire that has good prongs and a hidden halo for support. I say just get used to wearing it always (I do take mine off if I'm mixing meatballs or something weird like that, and I put it in my jewelry box so I know where it is and it's safe!). All this to say- wear it and don't take it on and off, that's a recipe for losing it! engagement rings are usually pretty darn sturdy, they're supposed to be worn all the time, so you should be good (and yours is lovely!!)

I wore Tieks shoes for my wedding, they are super cute flats with a blue bottom so you can check that "something blue" box lol. For the honeymoon it sounds like a resort would be perfect but be careful where you go, some of the 'all inclusive' resorts are full of people who will constantly bug you for tips or trying to sell extra services and make it hard to relax so just check reviews carefully but I'm sure you will do that anyway! Also I'm so glad you're having fun watching Bridgerton! I resisted it for a while but then started watching after season 2 came out and love it so much lol

I recently reorganized my collection and I feel that it is time to go on a low buy and enjoy what I have including some of my favorites. Swatch and reviews aren't really my favorite type of content anyways. They're obviously useful for when I'm planning a purchase, but otherwise I prefer more chatty content where people share their thoughts on whatever nail-related topic they want to talk about (it can be silly "hot takes" type of content or more serious topics about overconsumption). Since you haven't been buying much polish lately, I think it would be a great time to talk about some of the older polishes you have. Perhaps do a month of only wearing older forgotten polishes and then share your thoughts in a monthly roundup (like are they comparable to new releases in finish and formula)? Or dupe out new collections with your stash? And if you don't want to do nail art specifically, maybe you could do a video about fun skittle manis and base+topper combos? I've also been enjoying nail polish streams as I paint my own nails, so wouldn't mind more of those either. Anything nail-related that you enjoy filming, honestly.
