Yep, reminds me of a story with my mom and my older sister when she was a kid. This one involved ants and an out of control ringworm. They would apparently get into my sister’s hair where the ringworm was located to eat the infection, which makes sense since ringworm is a fungal infection. TLDR my older sister grew a fungal garden in her hair that would attract hungry ants.

As far as "favorite diseases" Idk how realistic this is, but an episode of HouseMD had this old lady with some brain issue that turned out to be non threatening, but it let her experience sexual arousal, and she seemed pretty happy. 🤷‍♀️ Being asymptomatic with something contagious, but that'll go away on its own, just giving you reason to stay at home and not work/school, sounds like something people would enjoy. So long as it's a short quarantine and they never have any effects later in life.

After i got a cockroach in my ear once I am forever paranoid about bugs going in my ears so if i feel anything in or around my ear i instantly panic. 100% of the time it's just hair or the wind, but on the off chance it's not i will have a heart attack.

7:22 I’d imagine it’s also required when researching the fossils to simply take note of a weird thing on the surface of the bone because you can’t just chop the bone up into tiny little pieces or else risk destroying the sample. Like, they now have 3D X-ray scans, but not until recently were they of any major use.

I mean you have Macromastia and Gigantomastia which you could describe as big titty disease since both deal with excessive breast tissue growth. New a girl in college who had Macromastia and it caused her alot of neck and shoulder pain though it was towards the lesser end of the disease so she was able to get breast reduction surgery to help alleviate it.

Not bc of the disease itself, but I like the way they test for it, tubeculosis (tb). What they do, is they inject a small amount of tuberculin under the skin, and if its raised/reacted to, them that means the patient has had a latent/current infection. And if there is no reaction, then you're good lol. My dad is from a country where it's very common, so he was given the BCG vaccine for tb. Now, when he test for it, it gives a false positive 😅, so he has had to switch to the blood test, which is more expensive and time consuming so he hates it.

Fun fact: Birds are technically dinosaurs, and also, technically phylogenetic reptiles. Phylogeny being, making and classifying clades(animals families) based on genetic relationships rather than physical characteristics which can be misleading for reasons like convergent evolution. Though this is s controversial take because it's not the standardized way of classification, which is based on physical traits, even if this way is genetically accurate.
