What a transformation just giving it a wash 😍. As others have said keep it the same as the body, but colour code the bumpers too. A nice bright silver on the wheels with some trims added. Might look like a bodge job to others if it’s a totally different colour like grey or blue.

If it was mine, I would do the bumpers and sills in white to match the rest of the bodywork. Once the wheels are refreshed or trims put on, it will look the part 👍

Colour codes bumpers would look great, I would go with white, high spec late model T3 VW Westfalia have them body coloured, and it makes them look far better, it will be a great camper for someone. Having a toilet on board is a godsend when at 3am you need to go!

I think it is important to keep the original stripe decals for originality and just paint the white below. It might be a shade slightly different, but to be honest once the upper has been buffed, I don't think it would be really noticed. In my opinion painting a different colour is what's done when things have obviously been repaired (or bodged, which this hasn't). It's an old but really good camper, def keep it as original as possible.

Keep it white up to the stripe. We know it's been properly repaired. But normally a different colour bottom half gives the impression of a tide mark that's covering up bad stuff. White will give the impression of a really solid vehicle, which is what it is.

I quite like the idea of painting round thw arches ans sills, but I personally would keep it in as close as possible to the original colour. As potential buyers may think a different colour is hiding something. Alternatively, supply photos of the welding that can be given with the motor home, to dispel any fears. Top work, love the SRUK jetwashed on the roof! 😂

Took 3.5 weeks to weld transit camper up.. The rot was everywhere... Did i care.. Paid to repair it.. So happy...... As to yours... Keep it how it came from factory.... Anything else just looks like a bodge job and you guys are pros... You turn out good motors.

As many others have said the paint needs to be the same colour as the stripes. Grey or Black will just make it look like the old motors back in the day that had bottom halves full of billo pads and sploge. This van deserves more than that.

Thanks again Rob. I don’t think I’d do a colour change on the wheel arches. It could end up looking like someone has bodged the arches and blown them in a different colour. It wouldn’t be true but why raise a doubt? That’s my twopence worth but I’m sure it’ll be fabulous however you finish it. Another great video from you and Chris!

Don't paint around the arches, it always looks as if it's hiding arch repairs. Paint up to the swage line.

Number plate I see as "Lisa's Heaven"! I like the idea of painting front bumper grey colour up to the waistline. Two tone reminds me of VW campers from 60's, 70's and 80's.

Not grey, reminds me of primer, will look like it's been primed then left like half a job, I'd keep it white as the thick stripes will detract from a slight colour miss match due to age.....

Mop polish the older paint that is not getting painted before it goes for painting and keep the bottom half White and get your spray painter to match it the best he can. Keeping the Harmony branding transfers is a better selling point at the end of the day, keep it original.

So many of these have been bodged up and cheaply painted along the arch and body line over the years - I'd much prefer it if it was painted in its original colour and kept standard. There aren't many really nice original looking ones now remaining. Perhaps a trip to your local paint supplier and get them to match the paint up with a spectrometer. Clean and original spec colour scheme for me please! 🙂 👍.

I like the montego grey the darker version of it because on the montego estate car they did a two tone job and was done very sympathetic because you don't want it sticking out like a sore thumb if done

What a transformation, well done guys 👍🏻. I’ve been using snow foam for a while now from various manufacturers and the beauty of the product is it’s great if you let it dwell on a dusty vehicle, it lifts the particles as it’s runs off helping to prevent swirl marks when you wash. Ideal for all those projects that need a new lick of paint.

Paint the lower areas with a nice darker grey colour to give contrast, also spray the wheels up in silver. Amazing what a good clean does for a motor. This is a real gem, and will give a family or a couple a lot of pleasure cruising the byways. 👍😎

That's a neat camper, never seen inside one before, very clever use of space. I think I'd be boring and keep the existing white surfaces white, make the sills white too, with dark grey for the bumpers. I know that may sound unadventurous, but I just like a nice, clean and tidy look.

Tip: try a magic sponge with a bit of diluted G101 or APC on all the white plastic trim (like round the toilet cassette door). It can really make a difference and loses the yellowing quite a bit.
