#spraypaint #shaker #DIY Never shake spray paint again!!! In this video I show you the best , cheapest and easiest way to shake a spray paint can by converting a commonly used power tool. I convert the reciprocating (sawzall) saw and a clamp into this magical devise. You may have seen other videos out there using a hand drill but this DOES NOT WORK! All it does is rotate the can, it doesn't actually shake it. This spray paint shaker actually SHAKES the can up and down, providing maximum ball movement.
Tools for the build
1. 12" Clamp- amzn.to/31Lz11l
2. Reciprocating saw (cheapest one) - www.harborfreight.com/6-amp-v...
3. Reciprocating saw (the one I use) - amzn.to/3upJNGZ
4. Saw Blades (cheapest) - amzn.to/3fJ6r93
5. Nuts and bolts - You are on your own

Not sure why the second blade is necessary considering both the clamp and a single blade are metal, while the sawzall can only accept one blade. Otherwise, I’m going to sacrifice that same HF clamp now. Great video!

Don't understand why you need to use two blades when only one will fit into saw. at a time. Wouldn't it be cheaper to use just one blade and maybe a washer on the other side?

I did about the same thing..I used a 3/4 aluminum about 6 inches long & attached 2 big hose clamps with a 5/8 heater hose ( better grip) ..so that I can spray the with attachment still together just slide bit back in saw & shake..been doing it for years ..makes a clean coat with consistency( no dark spots)

The best shaker ive seen so far to date .id maybe put a little lock tight on the nuts . and im wondering about perhaps utilizing some pvc pipe and sliding door wheels for a gallon can house paint ?? something to ponder at bed time .ha . And if a blade was to break you can move it over . Also remember "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." good job BM .

hysterical...good belly laughs. wiping tears. I don't think most women are ready to go to that length and may not even have the tool. Just priced an electric one at Lowes for $75 and the battery ones are over $100. Plus you gotta by the battery. But every time I shake a can...I shook cans when I was a kid. We have cars that can drive themselves, but we still have to shake a can!

While I can respect the ingenuity, this method requires the materials mentioned in the video, plus a drill (press) and and angle grinder and quite a bit of work to come up with a ultimately a louder and slower method than the drill powered spinning pipe method, which is cheaper, quicker, easier, and more accessible for the average DIYer IMO for a method that is simpler, quieter and faster when mixing. Still, nice creative use for the recip saw I wouldn't have thought of so thumbs up for that.
