So did I and it was the only key. 2000 quid to repair but I got a second hand ecu, immo, key and locks for 150. I hope it works.

My unlock button has Cellotape across it, it looks horrible. I'm getting this kit. I've never seen your left hand before, I'm sure it'll assist future work immensely, the phone holder is an excellent idea. Great vid.

I have just change the case put the circuit board back in the new shel and my 107 would not start until I watch this video Ha you learn something new everyday and its make me wonder how much money some of the garge make when cutting these keys or some would say you neeed anew board etc when all it is... is this little magnet brilliant thank you

Great video! Do you have any idea why the buttons might not work in the plastic casing but will work when using the PCB alone? Changed casing (including moving transponder over) and battery but no different. Sorry to ask but am out of ideas ☹️

Sounds like they might be faulty. There’s a little pip on the back of them that presses against the button inside. Maybe it’s not lined up?

question, i recently bought a key and had it CNC cut. it works fine to open doors and all that but missing a transponder to start the car. Do you know perhaps the exacly serial number i need for the transponder chip? I have been searching online, all i can find is it might be "ID 70"

Made in China, quality stuff going on there. Do you know by any remote chance if secondhand fobs can be reprogrammed to any vehicle so as to lock / unlock. I only want the lock / unlock so Mrs can open car without putting key in door as she has Artheritis in hands. I did it with a Ford fob when we had the C-Max but not sure about these, mines the Aygo though, many thanks.

You can’t use a remote fob without the kit inside the car as far as I’m aware. I’m looking into this myself and I asked a KZbin called aaanton11 and he informed me that you can’t just get a new fob. I’m assuming we need to install a remote locking kit of some sort inside the car. Can’t find any videos on a citybug car just yet :(

I need to know if it's possible to reprogramme a second hand fob to my car just for the remote locking function. It does'nt have to have the transponder chip as it's not needed to start the car. I know the Ford fobs can be reprogrammed to any Ford for remote locking as I did it before but not sure about the city bugs. Many thanks.

Obviously you car already has central locking as you’ve already got one fob that does it, so I’m pretty sure you’d be able to program a new fob in to work it. Can’t help on how to do it though as not sure 😞

Was thinking of a secondhand fob from scrappers and trying to programme that like I did for the C-Max. I would only go new if secondhand fobs can't be done. How do you make a second key? I just got my key cut by sending a picture on eBay and the second key doesn't have buttons or a transponder? I still have my original key working so i guess I'll need the transponder copied. Do you have to go to a locksmith?

You need another transponder putting into the second key, then you can program it to start the car. Check my most recent video, shows how to program the key to start the car

Did this only the other month with my Mrs's Honda Jizz the key blade and the battery/button pack was all that went in it cost £3.50 off ebay for a new shell.... 👍

It’s a nice easy repair on a lot of cars these days with the cheap housings on eBay. Done it with a few cars, pretty much the same for all of them tbh.

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos the Honda Jizz has a small Philips screw that goes through the shell and into the key blade a 2 minute fix, I even went the full hog and bought a silicone fob cover that glows in the dark to protect the plastic shell 😁

Toyota Aygo the same process part numbers ? Part 73373067D fir Toyota aygo circuit board 2009 or same numbers with B, C, or as in its D all same art nummine original D as tho Japan seemingly have secured the frequency it difficult with Toyota aygo 2004-2014 remote keys for locking does not work &or Toyota aygo that is why on eBay sellers have stopped advertising Toyota because they are all being returned.. Japan obviously has frequency the Citroen and pigeot easy ..

I should have bought a C1 instead of a Partner van obviously. Never did get an aftermarket fob to work on that. And Peugeot (the robbing b&£%!(£) want 300 quid for a genuine key!
