Cheap furnace for silver/gold melting - DIY

How to make very cheap furnace for silver/gold melting.
The life of the gas-silicate brickwork is not high, but the cost and complexity of the production is very low, so I like this solution.

I would suggest using the ingot mold as the lid for the crucible, so when you pour, your silver stays liquid longer for a better cast.

Could it be used to melt 10 ounces of .999 silver bullion instead of powder ? Can i use the little bricks stacked up to make it?

Please, what kind of torch were you using there? Is it an oxy- acetylene torch or an ordinary (propane or mapp gas) flame thrower.

Did you used propane? Is it possible to melt copper ? Ty Two years ago i tried to make a melting setup but i made the crucible hole way,way too big and even so i stopped working on it. I am curious if I could use this setup for melting and casting bronze

Moc pěkný video. To je tvárnice Ytong Lambda PDK ? Kolik cyklů tavení to vydrželo ? Hořák byl PB nebo nějaký na tvrdé pájení ? PS.kovovou podložku netřeba soustružit a svařovat, dá se objednat z laseru...

Děkuji, Tvárnice ani nevím, od koho, vždycky vezmu to, co kde mají :) Životnost je několik kg Ag.Hořák byl PB 22 mm P.S. Podložka byla grátis - zbytek z výroby, opracování od kámoše :)

@@BohumilGraman Díky. Netušil jsem že PB zvládne tavit zlato, obvykle jsem měl s menšími hořáky problém. Nakonec jsem musel přejít na MAP gas. I ta trvanlivost tvárnice je dobrá ;-)

Zlato zvládne, ale vzhledem k jeho malému množství ho raději tavím PB/kyslík v křemíkových miskách.

Where the hell, do you, get a block like that from. Oh it just arrived in the post, oh look it's the postman now. You can buy this block from where. I can understand the rest. Baking soda or bicarbonate of soda and tin foil or baking foil. This big block came from the big block makers. It seems simple enough and where do you get hold of them big arse drills and one of them less then one horse powered men to operate the drill from, you just can't keep it in a field, you'll got to feed it water it, it's gone from cheap to downright expensive. I watched the video twice, nice.

Zdravím, z čeho je prosím vyrobena ta vložná nádobka (z jakého materiálu), že vydrží tak vysoké teploty? Dříve jsem tavil ve speciální šamotové keramice, ale bohužel zde zavřeli fabriku co je vyráběla (Šamo) a obchod s grafitovými také zrušili (Auren). Rád bych si něco na tavení vyrobil (nemusí to být hned pec, používám autogen), jen nevím co odolného použít, letos mě čeká tavení velkého množství hlavně stříbra. Děkuji

PB tavím meď a mosadz získanú srapovaním v 3kg tégliku ,zatial som ho použil 6* a je v pohode .Na Ag a Au mám 10g a v tom tavím pomocou indukčného ohrevu , tiež s Aliexpresu a ten je šetrnejší než priami oheň.@@BohumilGraman
