That looks great. I'm going to buy those wheels for mine.

Me and my friend did the same thing with his XL-5 slash, except we used proline trenchers and refilled the diff with 50k weight fluid and it drives much better

I thought of using the Trenchers I have in the garage but wanted to keep it budget friendly. I bet those Trenchers look awesome on the Slash though.

Way to refresh the slash and make it a whole new beast very cool!👍

Only thing I'd be worried about is a little more heat from the taller tires. Would give you a little more speed too, should see if there's much difference. Makes me wanna do this to my Rustler now with how easy it is
@FatherandSonHavingFun3 жыл бұрын
I thought about that too, but when I'd seen the Slash and Bigfoot had the same gearing I was good with it. You could always drop down a gear if you wanted.
@mitchelldexter19012 жыл бұрын
do you think that the bigger tires make it go faster?
@Mr.Gribble2 жыл бұрын
Just make sure you gear down!

What type of screws are found on these 2WD Brushed XL-5 cars? Are they Hex head or Phillips head? Do all the the Traxxas 2WD brushed XL-5 cars always need to have the blue antenna stick out of the body shell? Or can you keep them under the body shell when driving? thx
@buysncharge Жыл бұрын
Base model is Phillips. Raptor 2wd is hex head. Antenna can be hidden. Amain

Nice rig but will those tires hold up too a 3s battery with out blowing apart 🤔🤪 all I did was take my Rustler VXL tires put them on my slash fits perfect only trimmed a tiny bit of the wheel well and did not have to raise the body up looks bigger meaner
@FatherandSonHavingFun3 жыл бұрын
No this is for the XL-5 version only, Bigfoot tires aren't able to withstand 3s. I tried the Rustler tires but it didn't have the look I was looking for . Thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day..

did they hold the power (i run 4S on my Slash).....can I buy this set for a 4WD, Sir?
@FatherandSonHavingFun2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure they could handle 4s, they are glued but have no foam. A alternative would be Stampede tires...thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day.

I am 12 yrs old and I have a slash too. XL5 brushed. I was thinking about doing monster slash or an LCG Slash. (What i mean by LCG is the LCG chassis conversion) I was going to go with the Traxxas Talon tires that were on the stampede and rustler or the DuraTrax Lockup MT tires. Both of them are about $30 for a pair so about $60 for a set. People say that the Proline tires are good but they are way to expensive. ($45 for pair, $80ish for a set) The Bigfoot tires are a good deal on ebay I might get those is I do monster slash. Also let me know on how they hold up going off road and on pavement. Also can I still do monster slash with bigger tires if I get an LCG Chassis? Also might have to gear down to a 15 or 14 tooth pinion gear. I am thinking about getting a stampede 2wd. I also have a rustler 2wd my dad bought.

Also with my slash, it always gets stuck in my front yard in the grass. So bigger tires will definitely help with that.

Proline's are expensive for sure, I'll let you know how they hold up. It definitely goes better in the grass. Thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day.
