In this video I'm testing out a relatively cheap potter's wheel from Vevor!
I'm showing you how I received it in the box, and I test it out with and without a bat. In the end I tell you whether or not and in which case I would consider buying this wheel.

I ordered the 350 watt 25cm one (similar but slightly different design) a few days ago (before watching your video, sorry) and while I'm sure that the more expensive wheel are in fact better, I struggle to believe that they are at-least-6-times-worth-the-price better. Still, I'm happy to hear that the cheap wheels are good enough for beginners :D

Is this 'thumping' sound in 11:11 normal? mine does that too and I'm not sure if it is not balanced, or the issue is only that I lack skill ":D

If someone tent to use for small project is fine but I just bought it and after throw 20 pieces of clay ( 700 gram- 1kg per piece) the break paddle not working anymore…😢 also the wheel not stable, loosed the center..

Hi Calder, wat een leuke filmpjes maak je! Onlangs heb ik ook een vevor schijf gekocht en nu wil ik graag met bats gaan werken maar ik twijfel of ik nu batpins moet gaan plaatsen of dat ook met een zeem kan doen. Heb jij advies hierover? Grts lotte

Sorry to bother you but what would be the perfect height for the wheel? For example I'm 1.64cm tall. Should the legs be at the same level of the bat?

I prefer my legs to be a little bit higher than the splash pan, so that I can lean my elbows on my knees :)

Wat een goede uitleg! Ik heb net mijn eerste workshop gehad, dat was zo geweldig! Kun je nog vertellen wat die bat is, die je erop legt en waar je die koopt? Je zette het apparaat op die doos, dat ging goed?

Dankjewel!! De bat is een gipsplaat, ik heb die van mij 2e hands met mijn draaischijf gekocht, maar ze zijn verkrijgbaar bij de meeste keramiek winkels, ik ga regelmatig naar de Silex in Den Bosch! Ja ik zette het op het piepschuimblok dat in de doos zat en dat werkt top! Het staat er nogsteeds op :))
