Aliyah Boston needs to step up and protect their meal ticket. Couple of things: 1. I don't hear anyone talking about the cell phone footage of Clark's tech in the game before Chicago. She was hit in the face by the defender well after shooting the three, her. IT wasn't an act of defense the defender waiting till after the shot went in and when they turned around to go the other way she hit clark in the face. That is why Clark was fired up. The WNBA had multiple camera angles of the play, and actively in the moment decided not to show the jab. It iisn't on league pass either they cut away and don't allow multiple camera angles. .... 2. She went for 30 when the team decided to play defense and the refs decided to call it fair. Watching against the liberty they are trapping clark any chance they can with B Stew and her on-ball defender. The Fever continues to run a high school offense, where the the trap is coming because you can time it. Her team can't set screens (clark isn't great at it either) even when they try to double screen for clark 90 % of the time her defender is unphased. In the seattle game they were actively holding or throwing her. Without clark the Fever have only a punchers chance at beating anyone. Lastly the cheap shotter doubled down all yesterday saying she would do it again and I want you to hate not love me. I know she probably never had to pass a test in her adult life. I would implore her to look at the men who did this sort of thing to Jordan, Kobe, Lebron. Once their contracts were up they were out of the league. There is only one Draymond Green and he isn't really protected anymore. For your own sake consider how this ended in the NBA before you become the first in the WNBA.

@dylanloveskellytaylor47745 ай бұрын
Yes but you guys are leaving out the fact that in the game they just played the days prior against the storm had Vivian punching Clark outright in her chest as they were running up the court for no reason. With Clark getting a Tech called on her for standing up for herself and having to be pulled away by Boston instead…where is the referees and why are they allowing them to get away with cheap shots plus it’s always the same guy The game they played them before had Clark getting outright hit on the head as she was going for a layup in which that block hit wasn’t going for the ball but for her head intentionally knocking her to the ground with no foul called, same guy again. In the Sun games you had them all but wrapping them arms reaching and holding Clark back to try and get the ball with no foul call but you have people screaming about her turnovers…well when they are allowed to be all but up on you wrapped around you, pulling on you, holding you back it’s not surprising but let Clark even touch them and she gets the foul…he’ll try looking at them at times and she will get a foul called on her…then they wonder why they are yelling at the referees and have a coach complaining that they shouldn’t be talking to the referees and leave it to her yet where is she in all this…doing nothing as usual! The sun games had Thomas doing the exact same things she did to Angel yet no one called anything. She could all but bulldoze Clark and push her out the way knocking her down with people just saying she needs to hit the gym and toughen up. I would more then help if her own teammates would help to draw away at least one of the defenders that is on her so that she isn’t getting attacked on all sides, not to mention call out the hard screens so that she doesn’t run into them full out. Because as we said if she gets injured because of a player harms her especially intentionally that would be the end of that player’s career not to mention the end of the WNBA as a whole for allowing this to continue when people have been speaking up about the aggressive behavior for weeks with no action being taken. Many are ready to stop watching altogether especially mothers are not for letting their daughters watching this type of violence and believe it’s acceptable or have to watch their idol get all out assaulted game after game.

The WNBA is allowing a dangerous situation to fester. All that needs to happen is have some consistency with the calls. If its flagrant, call it. Eject somebody if they are taking cheap shots. If someone is taking a shot and the defenders arm elbows the shooter in the face its a foul. If someone is getting punched in the neck away from the ball its a foul. What are they doing? Promoting gang fights, teams have to step in and protect their players because the refs are allowing things to continue happening? If a player wants to get chippy, that's fine. If a player wants to take a swing, go ahead, but the referees have got to make some correct calls and possibly eject some players if its warranted or this is going to end badly.

C.C. is a focus of the resentment that many of the players and their fans in the media seem to feel toward the dominant straight, white culture that they seem to feel hasn't sufficiently valued respected them. Some of C.C.'s teammates may feel closer to the players who are "hating" on C.C. than they feel toward C.C. There's also resentment against the fans that C.C. has brought into the WNBA fan base.(Elle Duncan.) Some of the respected vets in the league like Terassi would need to put the word out that it's time to lay off C.C. while advising C.C. to lay off the trash talk. Angel Reece is a different story. For A.R., it seems that basketball may be a stepping stone to her ambition to have a media career. If the Fever wants to build the team around C.C., they might float the idea of trading Mitchell and Wheeler. Good point about the Aces embracing Kate Martin. Maybe Kate has some advice for C.C. as well.

I’m not one of the anti-Clark people FTR, but I wondered the same thing Kerry mentioned. For you to get creamed like that and NONE of your players stick up for you - that’s not a normal team dynamic. When CC got drafted her teammates seemed really supportive - now not so much it seems. Is CC a prima-donna in the locker room? Are maybe HER actions alienating the rest of her team? It’s easy to say “jealousy jealousy” and I’m not saying that isn’t the case, but it’s not normal for a team to just let a teammate get laid out and do nothing. I wonder if CC lost her own locker room and maybe it’s some of her own doing - because Angel Reese gets a ton of attention too and her teammates seem to love her. Cameron Brink seems to be getting along with her team, etc.
