I'm glad i went with my 2021 toyota corolla se, Toyota really killed it with this new look. I added a few things here and there( front spoiler, side skirts) but It gets great gas milage and it's reliable👌🏽💯

A long time ago, my mom owned a 3rd-gen Elantra, and it was AWESOME. 5 speed manual, great fuel efficiency, and it was fun to drive. Unfortunately it got repo'd because she didn't make any car payments.

I have a 2015 corolla S. I got it in March 2021 for 15,999 with 36k miles, before the price hike of all the used cars in the US. That thing isn't the fastest, nor the sleekest, but with some decent tires and coilovers, it handles pretty darnn well. I drive over a mountain pass almost every day for work and that has improved it's handling quite a bit.

You’ve gotta give some love to the 3rd gen Hyundai Accent. 2006-2011. They’re cheap, have great gas mileage, reasonably reliable (mine has 167K miles so far), and have pretty fantastic steering feedback. With a few aftermarket upgrades, they handle like they’re on rails! Maybe that hoopty should be your next build series after the 86.

As a 2015 Honda Accord V6 owner, I swear I love this car! I’ve already run 300,000 miles on it and no major service needed yet! *edit: Just today, the intake manifold exploded- will need replacement.

well to be fair 300k and 8 years old... clearly it is being driven 24 friggin 7 on the highway. Highway miles many consider nearly half of city driving sooo effectively its comparable to any 2015 with 150k miles for city or mix driving. But older ones are way better, so im curious how the newer ones hold up as more miles are put on

As an owner of 3 Focus mk3. I'm happy to say that if you do regular maintainance accordingly. It's pretty reliable.(Eventhough all of them have Powershift as a gearbox.)

Iv been driving a 1998 Honda Civic DX 4 door for the past 15 years. Just rolled over 522,000 miles and still going strong. Just a good basic car to get around. Saved mine from a scrap yard for $325.00 with nothing wrong with it other than being dirty.

The best generation of the MAZDA3 has to be the 2015-2018 because they where only FWD but had the SKYACTIVE-G system! It's like (HONDA's) VTEC, but doesn't burn oil and has some serious Cohones...

alongside the camry, the solara derves an horable mention as its the same car in a much more stylish coupe with even better interior. another honorable mention is the mitsubishi eclipse 3g and 4g. i personally had one almost reach 300k with no problems at all before i wrecked it.

@@tleoipl37 honestly the lexus es330 is cheaper, more luxurious, and arguably more reliable than almost every car on this list besides the other toyotas. 3k all day for a luxurious tank usually owned by older people and driven gently

I can’t believe that you didn’t include the Buick LeSabre or Park Avenue. Any GM product with the 3.8 V-6 engine. My LeSabre has 205,000 miles on it and gets 30 mpg on the highway. Undestuctable.

Should have included the pre-1995 Ford f-150. That 300 inline 6 is damn near indestructible. And you can have one for less than $1k if you can deal with some cosmetic damage. It isn't rare for them to run 400 or even 500k miles with relatively little maintenance

I,m europen and we don,t have golf 2.5 inline 5 unfortunately I didn,t even know this engine was put in a golf. The best engine that we have on golf 5 is 1.9 TDI Same situation is with Ford Crown

03 Camry here with 305k miles. What to expect? I’m east coast gang so potholes sucks ass. Have replaced front shocks at around 220k miles, full front suspension at 298k miles. Rust. My car really doesn’t have any problem wit it. The exhaust was fully replaced at around 200k mark as well. Other than that we kept strong to oil changes at 2k miles to 3500k miles. Spark plugs every 50k miles as well as finally replacing the valve cover gasket at 300k miles. That thing was leaking for at least 60k miles but a quart of oil every 2-3 weeks and u chillin. Basic 4cyl wit the auto but I still rev it out to 5800k rpm every once in a while and she pulls strong for havin 160 pandas on a good evening when the weather is cooler 😂😂

Nissan and mazda are crap and will barely make 200k and it will cost you double in maintenance compared to what the civic and corolla will. The focus is also a turd even the Focus ST which is an amazing value with its turbo power and 6 speed and 22k dollar pricetag but i blew the motor twoce in mine before it got to 100k. Every Civic i owned did 200k with oil changes only and both corollas did 200k with oil changes and one brake job on front only. Only other car ive owned that was better was a Lexus RX330 but it needed a timing belt and a few sensors and struts amd brakes but wemt to 300k and is still going to this day. Generally civics and corollas will do 200k with just oil changes and one brake job if you drive nicely and oil change ecery 3k miles. Its the most practical car you can own. My miata i got 200k from but it took timing belts, oil pan gaskets, 2 brake jobs, water pump, and a transmission. IF YOU TAKE CARE OF A V8 LEXUS IT WILL LAST FOR 400K MILES EVERY TIME WITH JUST TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP AND A FEW BRAKE JOBS. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE NICE THOUGH.
