Wow what a technique! Sir can I do that to a Chevy Spark model 2011? Main part of its ignition system is the COIL PACK. Is that possible? Want to employ that technique. Thanks, Sir.

Pretty cool. My car 1998 Ford Escort cranks but gets no spark and will not start, so I can't test the ignition coil this way.

I see it's an old video. I have the same truck it's been chugging , bogging and backfiring and no auto shop seems to have the adapter for the old port it's been a nightmare!! I've changed the EGR valve, EGR solenoid, Idle air control valve, fuel filter . I'm curious why you didn't check the other coil pack?

The truck in the video is 1995 and it's OBD2, no adapters needed. I checked both coils, just checked the bad one in the video.

I get spark in all 8, but one has a very weak spark. Could that coil pack be bad? It's in 97 ford explorer XLT all wheel drive 5.0.

It's possible, but I would check resistance in a spark plug wire and compare it to one with a good spark.

..and like usual it's the last one ;-). There's also a faster way using the OW method, remove all plug wires, insert 4 fingers into pack, have someone turn the engine over and the finger that isn't numb after the usual scream of "OWWWWWW Holy shit!" is the misfire culprit. Like when removing a component and all the bolts/nuts come off easily until the last one and it breaks.

I've read pulling plug wires can damage the system, I would think installing short wires in the holes & grounding them one at a time may be less harmful?

Your bike being stretched how do you load it in ranger? And how do you strap it down?

I have a wheel chock bolted to the bed of the truck, i put front wheel in there and strap forks down, that's pretty much it.
