TOTALLY agree with you on the fruit issue. I have a friend who is deathly against fruit because "sugar is bad," when there's a huge difference between whole fruits vs. processed sweeteners. Keep doing your thing, Rose!

It’s insane for a human to be against fruits. We are primates. The healthiest most natural thing for a primate is to eat fruits.

I agree. I often hear that from them, and I kept education them. No worries for me tho 😅

I’ve never heard someone say fruit is bad. That would make me cringe. I knew someone that would limit fruit intake for their son but that’s because he ate a lot and would be bouncing off the walls after lol. So they still let him eat it but had to eat other things too for snacks.

I totally agree. low carb propaganda in my opinion. The Western diet is low in fiber above all else. Whole fruits help with this, among other benefits.

Rose, As another lazy vegan who hates washing my blender: I gotta share my mason jar hack. Make your sauces (like the cilantro yogurt) in a wide mouth mason jar using a immersion blender on turbo setting. You may need to chop your herbs a bit first as a head start, but my All-Clad stainless stick blender works great for this. I make all my dressings, sauces, smoothies, crepe batter even some dips this way. Then, you store in the same mason jar using the lids and screw on rings. Really cuts down on dirty dishes. Plus: I dont like storing food in plastic and BONUS:you can put those mason jars in the microwave if you need to heat up a sauce.

@@ChannelOwnersFun yeah it usually works unless the fruit is just really really bad quality. But I’ve purchased a whole bag of pretty hard nectarines and peaches and in a day or 2 in the sun they’re soft juicy and sweet! Works great with honeydew and cantaloupe as well!

I've used brown flour before and it makes the pancakes a little bit more denser. It's harder to make them light and fluffy
@JillCabrera2 жыл бұрын
As a suggestion, try making your pancakes without the blender. You should never overmix pancake batter as it loses air (which makes it fluffy) and overstimulate gluten (if present, and hardens the starch). By rule, pancake batter should only be mixed 10 times clockwise then 10 times counterclockwise. It should be incorporated, but still lumpy (with air). This will make your pancakes fluffy.

True, fruit doesn't make you fat, particularly when eaten whole. However, people with diabetes and those who are prediabetic have to be careful with the quantity we eat to keep glucose levels steady. Not to mention other hidden sugars in higher glycemic vegetables and grains like white rice, white potatoes, etc. We need to consider our inner health, not just weight to prevent serious health problems as we age.

The zucchini pesto pasta is the best idea I've seen for a while. Very excited to try! Thank you!
@RC22142 жыл бұрын
I love zucchini, so I actually did try and make a pesto with and I didn't really like it. I think it's because I don't like raw zucchini, I like it cooked. You can also add in or change with arugula, parsley, kale and even broccoli which was more pungent but really good. I find pine nuts very expensive, especially where I live so I use a combination of walnuts and pumpkin seeds which is really good and my family loves it. I put Nooch on a lot of dishes, it's addictive 🙂

If you want a change try putting your favorite jam or jelly on top of your pancakes, also if you add some baking powder and let it sit about 10 minutes they will be more fluffy. When I make beans I always make more than I end up eating, I am never sure how long to keep them so I end up wasting a lot of them.

Your breakfast looks wonderful! I am salivating over here. Love the suggestion of measuring out the syrup. I also use a dry pan or a very light spray of oil to reduce the fat and calories when making pancakes 🥞 . I love using brown rice flour, I'm not gluten free either but I feel that its a better choice over all purpose flour. I used to make 90 second bread using brown rice flour, yogurt, baking soda and powdered egg substitute by Bobs Red Mill. It came out super fluffy from the yogurt and baking soda reaction.

there's a fructose absorption limit that can cause loose stool or diarrhea. freelee even confidently spoke of her frothy floating poo, thinking it's healthy. it's malabsorption, which is why fruitarians are always skinny.

@@glendaanderson4969 freelee also lies about pooping only once a day. All her followers say they poop several times per day. Because their poo is never compact because of poor absorption. Just goes right through. So they constantly eat. Logan Paul had a raw til 4 friend who always pooped. And Logan probably followed him and complained of constant pooping and depleted energy and blamed veganism as a whole rather than fructose overload

Ok I'm going to be the naysayer. but you worry about the condiments, the syrups and yet you have ALL that massive amount of fruit, which is loaded with calories and carbs and sugars, and yet you are worried about the syrup? It's like telling a diabetic they can have honey, which isn't true, sugar is sugar is sugar is calories. Ok, naysaying mode off, still loving the video totally because I've been using some of these recipes.

I totally agree with you 100 percent! I personally have insulin issues due to my female hormones so I don’t eat added sugar at all and yes I’m plant based but only eats manuka honey on very rare occasions and if I had to choose added sugar to consume down the line for a holiday treat maple sugar first then coconut sugar but I haven’t eaten both in years…I will eat fruit BUT won’t eat a bunch of fruit in one sitting that’s just madness lol I rather eat a bunch of veggies tbh berries are ideal but other fruits I’ll eat intuitively but eating more than one banana in one sitting is way too much lol same with other moderate to high sugar fruits …moderation and intuitive eating always is key not binging in a sitting…added sugar humans can definitely live without but shouldn’t give someone free range to just eat fruits all day either lol it causes an imbalance in the gut flora (bacteria and yeast) aka Candida and SIBO …personally more vegans need to up their plant fats (avocados, peanut butter, seeds etc) to keep everything in the gut micro biome balanced 😊 *Yes I do have a dietician she’s been a complete peach helping me out with meal plans and I love it!*
@lenisemicolon2 жыл бұрын
Syrup is calorically dense and easily overeaten while fruit is food with fiber and micronutrients. She isn’t diabetic and her choosing to get sugar/calories from fruit instead of having 4x the serving of maple syrup instead seems like a smart choice.
