Well, it could also come across as very wasteful. Every time something breaks it creates a demand for more products. More products = more waste. So, why not spend a little extra on a quality product that won't break for a while. I understand you can't really help if something glass or ceramic breaks, but other things, yes, you can. Just my two cents...

Bob - does that include health insurance though? That's the big cost I can't seem to eliminate in my calculations, and it goes up so much each year that a fixed income can't seem deal with it in the long term. Otherwise I seem to have a sustainable long term low-cost plan figured out.
@IMSiegfried7 жыл бұрын
Of course it depends on the situation but... I believe someone said they are able to receive health insurance through Arizona because they lives under the poverty level with their SS income. Was it Lisa? I watch too many of these videos to remember. :-) I assume you're talking about Medicare being too expensive on a fixed income? I know I spend a lot for it and Part D insurance and still pay a lot for monthly medicines. Oh, also someone said they found their health insurance via something like RVinsuranceDot.Com I think it was. There must be a way. Let me know if you find out anything. Thanks
@SimplyLesa7 жыл бұрын
I live in Arizona and my income is under $1000 per month. I am permanently disabled and receive my income as an SSDI check. I qualify for Medicare which is federal health care . Because my income is under $1000 per month I am eligible for Medicaid (called AHHCS in Arizona) which is state health care. There is a fedrally funded program called QMB that allows states to pay any costs associated with either program. In other words, my health care is no cost to me.

Thanks for this video, Bob and Lisa. I know we can all live on less and have a GREAT life on the road and out in Nature. The idea is to live and enjoy life, to touch some people along the way... not work 8 or more hours a day, be in a vehicle you borrowed money to buy, to commute to your job more hours a day, to do what? To pay for a place to live that is just a box that holds the stuff that you buy working a job that makes you sick and makes you tired grumpy and awful to be around? And to what end? To retire at 65? And die at 65 and a day from old age and overwork? When do you get to enjoy you life? We have been full timing since mid November 2016. A couple of people kept asking, "Are you sure you're okay?" Don't let the negative people and negative comments get to you. People will either get it or they won't. Will either embrase a life free and full, and small and rich, or will continue to moan about their own life while they question your sanity. We are looking at something beautiful every day, the small things, the blessing of good friends you meet along the way. I need to reject my money worries, my lifelong anxiety as unnecessary and embrace the happiness I feel when I see how life has changed for the better. Baby steps for me. But it's been 2 and a half months and are we happy? Yes! How great! Life is Good.
