My ex and I had been together for 10.5 years and were engaged to be married (we met young). I found out he slept with a random stranger and called everything off. It’s nice to hear men say “once one person has cheated the relationship is over” because my ex was still convinced we could work it out through therapy and become “stronger” while I felt like he had not only betrayed but showed such blatant disrespect for me and the sanctity of our relationship I knew it was time to leave and find an honorable man in the future.

I Got cheated on, i wanted to be with her so I took her back. Big lesson learnt, once trust is broken its forever gone. It never worked after that.

Half of this is more specific than you might think. It's based on your experience as men in their early 30s who never actually had commitments like marriage or even children. It's based on situations where they could easily walk away on a practical level. There is no way you can avoid contact when you have kids together. Your Ex will always be part of your life like it or not. Also when you have grown together in other ways like being business partners. Even if you just share a home, that none of you can afford on their own. The whole 6 months cut off seems pretty ridiculous at this point... As difficult as it may be you'll have to figure out a way how to deal with your ex and maybe avoid sharing more than necessary.

Whilst I agree with what Chris has to say re liking another woman's picture on Instagram isn't cheating, I think the comparison to looking at another woman in a bar a stretch. Liking a picture is engaging with that person, looking at another woman in a bar is not. I suppose it also depends on what the picture is. If she is bikini-clad and constantly liking revealing pictures, then the scenario changes significantly. Again, great podcast guys - thoroughly enjoying MW!

Great point Jason. I had a much more well rounded position when I discussed it originally but that was when I was drinking wine so I’ve butchered the recall 😂 Super glad you enjoyed the episode. Xmas special goes live later today 🎄

I cheated only when I was young and in what I considered frivolous relationships, I have never cheated when in love. I actually tried to once out of loneliness , when he was working away , and just couldn't go through with it. It was pointless. Unfortunately since I have matured I just have to deal with the problems that come with commitment and long term relationships , I cant just run off to Greece these days since something inside grew up and now puts others feelings on the same level as my own . We cheat because we care about our own satisfaction , its a selfish choice and we will do it until we realise that it solves nothing .

I feel like I’m a very empathetic and I have a hard time ending relationships. In the past I’ve cheated or even lied and said I cheated to get the other person to break up with me. I know it’s horrible and being cheated on is awful but at the time I rationalized it as it being more positive for them to be in control at the end of a relationship and being able to make the decision to end it instead of having all control taken away when it ended. However in my defense I only resorted to those actions when I felt trapped in a relationship especially after I’d voice concerns or go as far as actually breaking up with the guy and have it be ignored.
@ChrisWillx5 жыл бұрын
Sounds like we have a lot in common Breanna. It’s a savage combination when you’re unhappy but too empathetic to be brutal. Moving past the inertia of the awkwardness and focusing on “this is being cruel to be kind” is a great approach I’ve found helps. Did you agree with any other points?

I think trust in a relationship is overrated. When my husband started getting frequent night calls , i would ask and he would just wave off those calls as unimportant. At a time i could take no more of his lies, i decided i deserve to know what was going on. A friend of mine referred me to this great ethical hacking team( Cyberhackingsage@gmail ) who helped clone his cellphone without having to touch the device. My husband was a cheating Narcissist and I’m glad i found out all his secrets and infidelity and how he planned on using this pandemic to get back to me. I got access to his Facebook, iMessage, GPS location , WhatsApp, Call Logs and Text Messages (both deleted and incoming ones) with a remote link to a programmed App on my phone. I’m here in Florida and able to access my husband’s phone even while he was away in Canada cheating on me. Thanks to Cyberhackingsage, now i have enough evidence for my divorce. If you need help or that little bit of closure, i advice you get in touch with them Via Gmail ( cyberhackingsage@gmail )Or Text and WhatsApp them on +15713758467.............thank me later.

We cheat because we're seeking Solace but it isn't always with malicious Intent, sometimes we hold the other person in such high regard that we can't bare to them it's over. When you're the one who's been cheated on, no-one else knows what it's like to walk a mile in your shoes and you must remember to hold your head high and get back out there ASAP and let the good times roll.

Can anyone link the vid they talk about what journaling is/how they do it? Or just give a simple explanation of what it is? Probably a stupid question, and I think I've pieced together what it is from when they mention it throughout other pods, but rather have the definite explanation than rely on presumptions
