I’d recommend using organic vanilla soymilk , or plain unsweetened soymilk. It gives the richness & full body needed to carry the matcha.

Which Starbucks did you go to? My local Starbucks have not changed the way that they make matcha. They use a 50/50 matcha/sugar powder, its too sweet and not that great

You are not even whisking the matcha properly with the matcha bamboo whisk. Supposed to whisk in a figure, M or W motion until it forms a nice thick froth. Not round and round like you were doing.
