No more room for more avocados I think my addiction will go away I have 21 trees in ground 4 in pots. Do you think I have an issue?

Hi neal, my channel is Xrsjohnm however I haven't spent much time making videos of them like johnny but I try to slowly I have a lot of repeat variety so its 22 in ground and 3 in pots I'm starting to grow out of 5 gallon and may purchase 15 gallons only from now on.

How do you even transport a 15 gal tree in a truck without the wind taking off all the leaves

You can lay the tree on its side in the bed of the truck. You will lose some avocados but most should still hang on. Thank you for your question and thank you for watching!

I haven't heard much about Leavens Hass but I did read somewhere it is somewhat similar in taste to a Hass. The only place I have found them at is at Louie's Nursery in Riverside. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching!

When’s the best time of year to see to see the multiple varieties of 5 ga’s at Louie’s, Johnny? If you come across anybody that I can get a few scions of Kahaluu avocado, I’ll be happy to pay for a few 10” sticks. I’m not sold on Wurtz. I’d like to know what the Sir Prize tastes like. I grafted 2-3 a couple months ago. I have an Edranol I uppotted to a 15 ga container with high hopes, but it’s looking nasty, very weak. I put a few extra tablespoons of Blood Meal (nitrogen) on top to hopefully spur some growth, but haven’t seen anything yet. Do you have any fruit that looks promising on your trees? I just had a potted Carmen Hass set blooms and I got a at least a half dozen 1/2 pea-size fruits that set. Carmen has an “off-bloom” so it should have a 2nd set of fruit set in the latter part of the year. They’re just like small Hass avocados.

Hey Neal I just tasted my first sir prise from my tree here in Brisbane and it was really good. Great flavour, not to buttery and it doesn't oxidise. Also a small seed and large fruit.

Hi Neal, hope you are doing well! I don't know of anyone who has a Kahaluu avocado tree, but if I ever do or ever find out at a nursery, will let you know. For Louie's Nursery in Riverside, I would call ahead to see how stocked they are. I found some great selection in the spring and fall so they might have some great selection right now. I have never tasted a Wurtz, but hope to soon. Not sure if I am sold on it or not, but I do like the tree size. Thanks for sharing about your Edranol, hopefully it springs back to growth. I am looking forward to picking my GEM, Reed and Lamb Hass avocados in the next few months. My Reed and Lamb Hass avocados are getting pretty big. That's great to hear about your Carmen, I really wish my Carmen would grow a lot this year. Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching!

We grow Cali and several Hawaiian varieties down here in south Texas such as Kahalu'u, Malama, Green Gold, and Fujikawa. Maybe next year I can help you out with a stick of Kahalu'u or if you want to buy a tree of it now, check ebay right now. Seller, aquajem has a few trees for sale. Also, search, Hawaiian Kahalu'u. The trees are not cheap, $120, but quality looking grafted trees. Kahalu'u is a very had variety to find, but it's fruit is one of the best. Considered one of/if not the best in Hawaii.
