For some of the poorer emulations you can apparently overclock the gpu on orange PI5. Looks great overall for orange pi 5. Do any emulators support FSR? I know it should be open scource and should run on anything might be beneficial for some emulators if they support it.

Most of the emulators are CPU heavy and dont really use exotic GPU features.

@@IntriguingTech that's fair but would rendering at a lower resolution to upscale make it run better e.g. Render at 240p and upscale to 720p? I know someone would have to implement it but i also know the xenia emulator has it for xbox and xbox 360 games which is ofcourse different architectures but im sure since its open scource it could be implemented and maybe it would help to emulate at the lower resolution, What do you think?

@@not_so_native_native Running at low res does work but its not pretty. Your graphics card does the upscaling to your monitors res anyway. It would be ugly.

it only get ower performance at single core cause it takes an average and as it has 4 slower porcessors it might get them forthe calculation, same for multithread, those benchmarks do not take that kind of considerations

If u optimize your games and not just expect the board and emulator to do all the work you’ll get better performances in your reviews and not just say it doesn’t work

This is a review of the hardware and show what someone can expect from the box. Not to baby sit the emulator(s) and spend weeks optimizing it for performance which most people will not choose to do. Thanks for commenting.

@@IntriguingTech a lot of those games you claim don’t work do work. With anything especially a Sbc u have to know what ur doing to make a quality review if that’s ur goal. One emulator runs hundreds of games its gonna be preset for all of them and expect them to run out of box

Depends on your standard for what you deem "working" is. For me 60fps or 30fps (depends on how it ran originally ran) is the standard with 0 frame skips i.e. as close as possible to how it originally ran.
