Me and my dad are building ffr kits side by side rn, he SOMEHOW got his hands on a 427 block, he's putting it in a roadster with a TKO600 and a solid axle, mine is a type 65 I'm running a 302 small block from a 98 explorer with ported heads, a bigger cam, updated valve train, longer rods with shorter pistons, and a holley 700 carb, paired to a TKX with a irs system. His is gonna have alot more power but it's a roadster with a solid axle so it will be fun to see them on the track, we are both experienced drivers lol. His is a base kit he sourced most of his parts from a donor fox, I just dropped a sweet 38 grand (ouch) on the complete kit so I've only got to worry about an engine and transmission lol! Best of luck from South Carolina. Enjoy that ride! 😎

In 1962 I lived next to the East Coast rep. for allBell racing equipment, Robert Janssen. He had what I was told was the first 1962 AC Cobra on the East powered by a 260 cu. In. Ford small block making 260 HP. The car weighed 2400 pounds and was faster than all the muscle cars at the time. Bob used that car mostly for promoting Bell products ( shoulder harness, helmets) at such places as Limerock Conn. and the Poconos! It impressed all my high school buddies that were into cars at the time. Wonder what happened to that car. KZbin is a great place to bring back long forgotten memories!
