I think it's bs how many people are poking fun at gabi, considering she's doing something completely new & doing it well. Her ankle is probably hanging on by a thread, and she's still able to pull off things that normally takes folks years to train at - it's pretty much all new to her (she spent most of career dancing, & doing partner stunts). Artistic sports seems like such a toxic place, I feel so bad for Gabi.. - No one liked Maddie from dance moms (because she wasn't "a real dancer"), no one liked Charlize Glass (because she danced too sharp, aka like a cheerleader), no one liked Briar Nolet (because she did more gymnastics than dancing)... Y'all never seem to just be happy someone is happy. Smh, don't even get me started on how many ppl didn't & don't like Simone Biles (because she's not as flexible, or lean as others) , or Katelyn Ohashi (because her body isn't tiny), or *MISTY COPELAND* 😔 Heck, one of my favorite ballerinas is Sophia Lucia.. She was hated on because of her voice.. It's weird how ugly creative sports treats it's own. Do better..

I was a flyer in high school and practiced stunts with cheerleaders in college. I have no fear of heights. I was a “throw me higher!” type. 😉🤣 The only way I could have had that attitude was my full trust in the people below me. One of my friends’ parents asked my parents if they were scared for me. They honestly had never thought about since I wasn’t scared. I only got hurt 3 times. Both times my shoulder dislocated, and I was still being held up in the air. Those took a moment to put back in. (Turns out I have a collagen disorder. My shoulder has always popped out, so I’m too loose, but I know how to get it back in.🤷🏼‍♀️) The other injury was a black eye. My base just had her arm rotated the wrong way and she was a little too relaxed, so when I came down and hit the inside of her elbow, WHAM, her fist hit my face! 🤣 She felt so bad! 😂 I told her the was the best way I could have gotten a black eye! 👍🤣 And of course it was shocking for me to have a black eye, so I got to tell everyone my friend “hit” me. 😉🤭
