An imaging guided surgeon (interventional radiologist) & neuroradiologist, author of nutrition, medical & study skills books, Peter Rogers MD is the "Spartan Vegan."
In college he was student athlete of the year at Stanford. Graduated 1st in medical school class.
Dr. Rogers works as neuroradiologist, but also did fellowship imaging guided surgery (interventional radiology) at Harvard. He got fat in 30's and learned his way out. He was one of best medical students in USA in biochemistry and tries to understand pathophysiology. Has written a books about nutrition & study skills including "How to improve blood flow," "Hot topics in nutrition," "Straight A at Stanford & on to Harvard," "How to raise IQ, & become a genius."
Stanford university student athlete of the year, 1985. University of Illinois medical school award for best male medical student in class; best student in pathology; highest board scores in class of 333 students; biochemistry score 780/800, possibly the highest in the USA (biochem is the most difficult subject in medical school). Biochem is “considered” to include nutrition. Residency at Northwestern with 99% board scores. Fellowship in interventional radiology (imaging guided surgery) at Harvard. Fellowship in neuroradiology at Rush.
Author of multiple books about nutrition, reducing risk of disease, and study skills. Discovered almost all the major medical textbooks are 50-100 years out of date, and often, completely wrong. Secret desire #1 = to become a nutrition doctor, but can’t, because there’s no money in it. Secret desire #2 = to rewrite the major medical textbooks, but can’t, because there’s no money in it. The shocking truth is that most medical textbooks are essentially worthless, because they do no include nutrition, and most disease is caused by poor nutrition.

So many people are majoring in the minor. His overall message is to eat the correct diet and stay away from things that can hurt you. Throw in some movement and you’re set. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

This is my first time seeing him, I will be a regular of his now....I did not know he was on all the time, Dr. McDougall is on and I watch him a lot too....and I just found out recently that he is on live every Sunday nite..... why isn't this advertised more ??? There is not anything half fit to watch on tv anyways.....

Dr. Rogers is brilliant at consolidating and disseminating complex information. I enjoy his talks so much. He does go at the speed of light. If I didn't have a medical background I would miss a lot. As it is I'm sure I will re-watch this talk, I really enjoyed the physiology and biochemistry. Thank you Dr. Rogers! p.s. Talk to True North and see if you can work something out that would work for you!!!! They would be so lucky to get you!

Dr Rogers is something else! His talks are great even if I can't follow it all. I loved the Hamlet dialogue. He should take his own advice and take the job at True North - sounds like he could do a lot of good for many. Hope it works out somehow. Thanks, Chef AJ! You're the best!

This affects so many people. Why would they choose to keep eating junk? It is addictive. The food supply should not be allowed to cause all these medical costs.

Wow amazing information and clear connectivity to what we have the power to control/change in our lifestyle choices!!!! I have Alzheimer's disease in my female line and see the affects already in myself that really only people who have a direct experience with it know how to discern it from 'adhd, low iq, agism, bad eating'. I will adjust to apply these strategies for prevention even though I know it will require a lot of discipline to refrain from oils, sugar, and fake meetz. I do struggle with giving some credence to the fecal acid from spirochaetes as a link. Although prednisone and antibiotics gave me clear thinking and this directly involves epithelial recovery. Thanks so much!!!! You are making the difference. 💚💚💚

Love hearing him. You learn so much listening in every minute of his talks. Ok Chef AJ -- make him tell us what "F-" is thats in toothpaste. Now I have to know. Is it fluoride? - Chef AJ - you are providing such an incredible service by providing these speakers. I am eternally grateful! PS -- he needs to join Dr. Klaper who is trying to teach med students about the benefits of nutrition.

I'm with you there, why don't they tell us and show us what they eat for a day, even a week would be better..... Dr. McDougall has told a few things, but I would enjoy hearing more from people and see how they cook and what they would have for a week....think all of us could learn a lot especially since Dr. McDougall's wife has made up her own recipes & has a cook book or two.....but still nothing like seeing them in the kitchen cooking & showing a meal.....I would love to see some desserts. this is my hardest thing to even think about giving up....one Keto guy says you get a Cake on your birthday.... that's not enough sorry Keto guy....

@@babycakes8434 If you can find non-dairy yogurt.....I don't know if they make it or not....I drink non-dairy milk..... Nut milks...., it comes in Almond milk, Coconut Milk, Oatmilk...... I have drunk them all, and it's doable , I had to quit milk for my stomach, it would hurt every time I drunk it.....there are other Nut milks too, but none of my stores has it....there is a Walnut milk, Macadamia nut milk, I assume all nuts....you can buy your own nuts & make your own Milk in a good Blender , I don't think the regular blenders will handle nuts that fine to chop....I have this VITA -MIX BLENDER..... and it chops everything.....I make my own Peanut Butter out of just Peanuts......no salt ,no sugar just Nuts in the ingredients, I did not add salt, as the nuts already had salt.....it was delicious..... I need to make some now.....Ran out of PB. so ordered a jar of ALMOND BUTTER from Sam's it was delicious too...all it had in it was DRY ROASTED ALMONDS & SALT....I have a lb. of Walnuts in the freezer, so plan to make a jar of Walnut Butter.....I know it will be delicious too and Walnuts are my Fav. Nut.....I do like Brazil nuts & Pecan Nuts and I will try those later too.....when you buy Peanut Butter in the store , most of it has salt & other ingredients not healthy.....so buy your own nuts and make your own.... doesn't even take that long just start out slow and increase speed and you end up with Nut Butter just like Peanut butter only more healthy and you have a choice of flavors.....hope you enjoy this info..... when my Son was in Afghanstan I made and sent him Peanut Butter made from peanuts only and he loved it..... I can just eat it by the spoon full which I do sometimes....

I loved the excellent representation and the very fine imagery explaining very clearly why we should eat whole food plant Based, no Oil, no highly processed food , make sure you avoid aluminium and omega6 cooking oils and no or very little alcohol, and at least keep moving and walking every day. Eat plants plain raw or lightly streamede in Water ( no Micro oven in the House) - and dont put your cell Phone in a pocket ( that is kind of difficult but maybe we should use the cell phone as an Old fashened phone in your House 🙃🎶🍀🎵💚🐸

I usually put it in my purse or on a holder a few feet away from me. And I never was comfortable putting it up to my head. If I'm in public and cant really use speaker I don't answer it. They'll call back. I started seeing hints that it could cause issues really early on because I read science studies like most people read novels. Lol On walks is the biggest problem. I walk in the country or at the lake a lot and I'm 60 so I need to have it with me but I don't take a purse. I take a dog; that's enough to handle! So THEN it does go in my pocket. 🤷
