So the jam thing. Part of Jamie Oliver's brand is that he's a "healthy" chef. The reason so many of his recipes have jam in it is because it's a way he can sneak sugar into his dish without actually saying he's adding sugar. If you watch closely you'll find that a lot of his weird ingredient choices are to avoid something with an "unhealthy" connotation. It's the same reason why there's no butter in this butter chicken. Because butter is "bad" for you.

My Indian cookbook states that you use Tandoori Chicken for the chicken base AND NO TOMATOES, the recipe calls for tomato puree. Madhur Jaffrey's cookook. Her recipe does call for butter, 1/2 cup.

@@apeman157 well butter is just cream that is whipped...it's been a while since I've made butter, but I think there is also a bit of the whey is removed to help be more solidified...so a nut butter IS still butter just a nut butter rather than a dairy butter, cause all you really need to do to get a nut butter is blend it til it becomes paste...I know what you mean, that it doesn't have butter in it though...so funny enough, butter doesn't really have butter in it cause butter isn't the base ingredient of butter

@@shivanshchoudharybmc5031 Properly cooked chicken breast can be juicy when served right after cooking. It just dries out very quickly. That is why whenever I roast whole chicken I start eating it from the breast while it is still moist and tender. Fresh from the oven.

I like that small comment about rings was made. I personally dont like people cooking with rings on. How thoroughly was the band on the top and aginst the skin, cleaned? How was the ring itself cleaned? Honestly, great reactions really enjoyed and will watch more. This was my first time watching/discovering this channel ❤

Actual indian butter chicken doesnt have butter. Its based on cashews blended into the sauce and the milk is the creamy aspect.

Basically butter chicken was initially made from leftover tandoori chicken ( so there is a smokey flavour in the chicken but tomatoes don’t need to be charred
