You didn't the context.. People nowadays are prioritising western cuisines over indians..this is leading to a problem. Young generation is now forgetting the culture, deep roots, authentic and traditional cuisines.. I am a Kayastha. So many of my Kayastha friends have forgotten JimiKandh now.. so many Punjabis are now forgetting the real essence of Saag.. ask anyone, who knows about it anymore in our generation? Initially I did not shown interest in your channel but I love it now. I just made it and came up good. Only change I made is I added basic garammasala while boiling the rice. I love that you’ve made this video. Khichadi is my number favorite to make and eat. And my mother taught me the method you showed. We always have lots of veggies in our khichadi. Only change I do is that for sake of time, I do tadka and then add veggies and moong dal and rice all in one go. 15-20mins later, tayyar! Tho when I add veggies like cauliflower or zucchini, I add them halfway thru the cooking so they don’t go to mush. I also don’t use pressure cooker, only so I can add veggies midway. I’ve tried many veggies tho not spinach. That’s going to be next. I also love that you said dahi kadhi ghee achaar were must haves as sides. My usual is taak - I make a light version (1:4 dahi to water w jeera and salt) and enjoy hot khichadi w cool taak. Ranveer-ji... you’re the best! Thank you...

Hi Chef... I love love love khichadi... khichadi is truly an emotion, I grew up watching mumma cooking khichadi, begun bhaja and ilish mach bhaja on a rainy day. On Lakshmi puja we prepare 4 types of khichadi and the same is offered to the goddess. People from East Bengal prepare a variety of khichadi one is runny another is a bit tight in texture. Shrimp and mutton khichadi is exceptionally delicious....😋... staying away from hometown during lockdown we only used to have khichadi and papad and aloo bhaja and omelette with my roomie for a month... so grateful to khichadi...such a comfort food ... 😋😋😋😋😋

I make kichadi all the time. with either of dals. Red, spicy with red chili powder, yellow with green chili, with vegies, without vegies, with just one vege, with ghee, without ghee. When I was young cook, kichadi gave me confidence. Today also it's no fail comfort food for my daughter served with pickel🙂. Thank you khicadi🙏😍

Usually I have seen that when chef make dishes of the region in India they don't belong to..... I mean all other areas.... They screw up the recipe to the every extent possible..... Or when they make it..... There talks give you the impression that they are portraying themselves or boasting themselves... And when the cusine is of any other region... They talk of it in such way that its of lower side.... BUTTTTT..... then here comes RANVEER BRAR..... Who makes every recipe of every region, religion... With equal dedication and love...
