LT Ang you dont have to live in alaska to know what deer tastes like im from oklahoma cant remember when the last time was that my parents bought hamburger meat from the store weve always killed enough deer to have enough ground in the freezer to last us until next deer season as well as most of the time depending on how its cooked deer is a little tougher and tends to dry out very quickly if not cooked right do to the very lean meat where as buffalo often are more like wild cows and still have a decent amount of fat

It's part of the challenge. Gordon tells his sous chefs to mess up on purpose and to act pissy with the contestants when they're on the pass. It's to test how the contestants would handle those situations as a head chef. I don't think Gordon would keep a sous chef that acted like a pissy little boy every time he was corrected or told to hurry up.
