Thank you for watching!! (ご視聴ありがとうございました!) Japanese hot pots are very easy but so tasty!! If you learn the basic combination of the veggies and the sauce, you can customise whatever the way you want!! So get inspired with CHEF'S LABO!! I'll see you in the next one!! *At 6:26 Looks like I didn't put salt into the kombu water and Daikon juice, but it was in there. I accidentally lost the data of that scene😭 So please don't forget to add salt too👍 寒い日はやっぱりお鍋ですね!

You know in addition to delicious and beautiful recipes, you really are the best cooking teacher on KZbin. I've been cooking Japanese food for a long time and even I have learned things from you. Thank you for listening to my request for shabu shabu. It is a great dish for families and friends to share and interact around a table. So often people have their face focused onto their own plate/bowl only. Shabu-shabu is like a healthier version of fondue which is a party food. After everyone being afraid of each other for 2 years it's a good idea for people to try this dish and relax.

Hi Chef Labo! I love hot pot dishes especially in winter, but aside from Shabu Shabu I have heard of “Sukiyaki” as well. What is the difference between the two? Also the porridge hack at the end is such a good idea!
@CHEFSLABO2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kat L!! The biggest difference about those 2 dishes are the broth. Sukiyaki have sweet and savoury broth, so it doesn't need any sauces. But Shabu Shabu's broth is very plain. That's why it has 2 diferent sauces. But these 2 dishes are both super delicious though!! I got Sukiyaki video too if you are interested!!👍😉 ↓ kzbin.info/www/bejne/paqWfoqXmt17pdE

Chef Taku-San, is it difficult to get original or authentic Japanese ingredients in Australia?
@CHEFSLABO2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bianca!! In here Sydney, I got 1 good Japanese grocery, and many Asian groceries which has some Japanese brand's products. So I can get most common Japanese ingredients without using online ordering *(except some traditional Japanese fruits and veggies which only grows in japan)😉 Hope this reply will be helpful for you!!😉👍
@fanikr29322 жыл бұрын
Can you substitute the Tahini with anything? i can't find them anywhere and buying them online is very pricey.
@CHEFSLABO2 жыл бұрын
Hi fan IKR!! How about researching pre-made sauce then? Try to search "Goma Dare" or "shabu shabu sesame sauce" If you find ones from "Mizkan", it will do the job!! It's the most popular brand for the sauce in Japan. I attached the link for you to see the actual picture of one of their product. So have a look😉😉😉 www.plazajapan.com/4902106860655/?setCurrencyId=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAx8KQBhAGEiwAD3EiPwi8BT5hZ1crH7n6UgZchrsLPMw8wVk3D0adwPJIi2Sog5pzX0ujEhoC0a0QAvD_BwE
