I want to say, I'm a 12 year old who wants to start cosplaying! I am going to learn to sew but I cant sew yet so my first cosplay that I used on Halloween was an Amazon cosplay. I was Sayori from Doki Doki Literature Club and I was really excited because she is the ultimate cinnamon bun to me. The wig was pretty cool to me, but the cosplay itself was iffy. The skirt and button up shirt were a bit tight, however the vest and blazer were a bit too big. The skirt was probably because I'm a bit chubby but it doesnt make sense for some parts to be differently sized than others. I want to add that the skirt was a bit shorter than I'd like. The tie part came untied easily but I dont know if it was me and my dad's bad tying of it. At least I had a good time in the cosplay. I'm hoping to do a female and human papyrus from undertale this year, but I'm not sure yet

Also! About the zipper part, i recomend trying to get cosplays have invole school uniforms of anoy sort with a zipper! I got a Ibuki Mioda cosplay before that didn't have a zipoer and it broke when i took it off.

Watching this video has made me realise that skirts must be a problem for sizing with cosplays for this franchise. I own a Fukawa Toko cosplay and despite ordering the right size for me, I have to fold the skirt in and safety pin it. Otherwise I get that lovely construction site worker look crossed with a high-school girl (trust me, not a pretty sight!)

So I’m not the only one that got a larger skirt for a cosplay! For Halloween I bought a Maki Harukawa cosplay. So I looked at the size chart and got the size that showed would fit me. It came, I didn’t even bother to try it on it was so small. So I returned it and got a larger size that fit. The shirt was kind of small but the skirt fit perfectly so if I got the next size up the skirt would’ve been too big. The skirt was just elastic but it was my first cosplay I bought so I was fine with it. I wonder if it’s just how the Asian sizing works.

I got the exact same Sayaka cosplay as you in May and mine had The EXACT SAME ISSUES- the skirt was HUGE despite me ordering a medium. I received an XXL. However other than that I do think the cosplay is quite nice!

4:42 this is actually on my toga cosplay!! it disconnects so that you can put it on easier (i think). just be sure to take it off when you machine wash the costume otherwise it might fall off :(
