So I was just reading in the comments, someone mentioned the jam is actually more about flexibility and it's more the releases that bother her shoulders. I found that interesting to learn. At any rate, I know that she is very in-tune with her body and won't do any skills that she knows are bad for her body. That's one of the things I appreciate so much about her comeback. So even if a skill looks scary or potentially injurious to me, I remind myself I'm a watcher and she's not only a World Champion and Olympian, but also a very smart gymnast. ❤

Doing sports as an adult - one of the best things is knowing our body!!! When to push, when to rest; what “pain” is normal, what pain is true pain and indicates an injury is imminent without rest. I am a runner who got injured a lot in high school and college. Now I can up my mileage and stay healthy because I’m in charge of my training and I run purely for enjoyment. I can rest some days, push it some days, and I also know a lot more now about caring for my muscles (rolling them out, which stretches to focus on).

Rahdea good luck going back to school. Please make safe and healthy choices and kick butt in your gymnastics routines, practice, and competitions. Hopefully your school won’t have to shut down like some have already done. Chellsie you keep knocking it outta park because you have so much power and height that you can easily add extra to your vault, floor and beam routines and dismounts. You are right up there with Simone, actually you were the first Simone so she should be called the next Chellsie because you were doing more difficult and complex skills than any of the other females and even some male gymnasts which has always boggled my mind that Martha and Bella and the other coaches didn’t give you credit or respect for all that you could do for the team. Constantly putting you as an alternate when you should have been on the team. You proved it every time you had to replace whoever got sick or injured. You still competed when you got injured so you could help the team win. I still get angry while watching the video about the worlds where you won over Nastia. They didn’t celebrate your win , give you the respect you deserved. Instead they kept harping on about how Nastia lost by 0.01% . You had much harder routines and higher start values than she had and you performed beautifully and she did not. It’s because of all of that and how they treated you that I am supporting your comeback so you can rub it in their faces and show the world how amazing and incredible you are and that women don’t have to peak at 15-18 years old. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.👍🏻❤️🥇🤸🏻♀️❤️
