The spirit of the rule is to not have a hood fall off intentionally. Part of the blame should be on FD at the line for not taping the hood down for the second run if they deemed it was not properly attached. Chelsea definitely doesn't hold back how he feels.

I don’t condone violence. But Chelsea is 100% right in the sense that a flopping hood is in no way going to be distracting to a professional driver. His feelings are not out of hatred but out of passion for the sport. He’s been a strong advocate for fair drifting with logical rules and calls and has been victim to many ridiculous decisions that the judges made. I was a fan but actually lost respect for him. He has always been a hot head in his career and rages often on the forums. Bit of personality sure - but this is a professional level sport now and he should act like it. Going over to them to do that over a dumb protest just shows immaturity. He beat them - that is the end of it.
