Be safe out there. I used to live in DC and yes the cat calling, guys following me, scary, but now live in a beautiful suburb in Northern, Virginia, 180 degree difference. I run day and night and feel sooooo safe and great neighbors. Love your apartment, so large for living in NY. Love your videos. Great Race, good luck in November.

Congratulations! You did it! To someone who can't run for that long, you are an inspiration! I recently started exercising regularly because of how different my body feels as I'm now close to 30... and I wish I had started earlier. I also struggle daily with chronic fatigue and feeling down because of my thyroid problems, so I can relate to you. You've done an amazing job and I just love your videos and your energy :)

Well done. you smashed it. Lovely video. I also have watch and done Adriene yoga, "30 day journey Breath". I can't believe how cold race day was and it took me a good 4/5 miles before I could feel my feet, hands, and face. Now go smash you next training block for the New York Marathon

A great achievement Chelsea ❤. Exercise is addictive and the high we get from it is hard to replace. What I love is that you’re really making the most of every opportunity that coms your way. I think you’re world wise enough to manage men who feel entitled to treat women poorly. It’s a problem everywhere and ignoring them is the best way to manage it. Hear me when I say, you are only young for a relatively short period over a lifetime so enjoy it all. Keep being you as you create real life content. ❤

Chelsea this was so exciting to watch, great to see your smiling face during the run. Congrats on your race. I also appreciated what you shared on body image and exercising. Now in my early 50s I had similar experiences. Pleased to say 20 yrs later, I softened into acceptance of where my body wants to be. It is what it is and I am grateful to be healthy. Keep on keeping on Chelsea thank you for making your videos. Peace ✌

Congrats! I remember training for & running the Seattle Half Marathon years ago and it was also so cold on our race day in November. I definitely experienced a huge feeling of accomplishment and wonder at what my body could do. But it is very time consuming to train: short runs, long runs, yoga & stretching, hydrating, prepping and eating healthy food, etc. I hope you take some time for rest & recovery before starting your new marathon goal!

Congrats, Chelsea. Great job and time-especially with all those hills! 😂 You’re such an inspiration. I’m in awe of people who can run so many miles. I run on my big NordicTrack treadmill at home - usually a little over 5k at least three times a week (but sometimes five). And try as I might, I just cannot find the energy to do more than that 5K per run. Or maybe I’m just bored? I do keep to a 9:20 mile the whole time, and on a Level 4 incline… but as I get older I just can’t do the longer distances anymore. I’ve never run outdoors, though. Hmmm…

I’m about to move to NYC in a few months. I’m 38 years old, and I used to run 12k’s with my dad 15 years ago. We’re going to have a gym in our building we’re moving into, and I’m thinking about training for the NYC Marathon! I know this can take me potentially 2-3 years to realistically train for, but I want it. I want to do it in my 40’s. I feel it’s important to prove to myself that I can do it and to my children that getting older isn’t something we need to be scared of. You said that there’s a lottery just to get to the half marathon, but if you are lucky and run it then you automatically qualify for the full marathon OR you can do four of the six qualifying 11k runs? I think I’d rather do that. I’ll do the four events! Work myself up to it and not do all of that training just to hope for a lottery to get to the half. How long did you train for all of this?
