I’m a super cry baby and started crying before you even started the race! I had to stop and comment on how important it is to see a normal person chase their goals and persevere through obstacles on the way. It makes me realize how hard I’ve worked these last few years to better myself and gives me encouragement to tackle other goals as well! CONGRATS!!!!!! This journey has been truly inspiring to watch!!

You've worked so hard and endured some really less than ideal training circumstances but you didn't let it stop you! You PULLED THROUGH and honored yourself, your community here, and every person who has been affected by brain tumors and cancers. So proud of you and so happy to see where our journey goes next! 🥳

My partner is a marathon runner and suffered a brain injury when struck by a motorcycle out for a run this past summer. I have witnessed his dedication to running and have been alongside him throughout his training. I hope he can get back here, one day. So much has been taken from him, but the runner perseverance quality is a strong one - unlike no other. I don't know you personally, but a stranger is proud of you. I think because I watch videos about stoicism, and I like to watch vlogs depicting what life is like in other parts of the world, you eventually showed up in my algorithm a couple of months ago. I have been following your story ever since, but I did not realize how emotionally invested I was until I watched this video. 46 year old grown man, with tears in my eyes from the very beginning, but by the 15 or 16 minute mark out I was bawling like a baby. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and that you treat yourself. You are a superhero, a rockstar, and there are so many people all over the world who are inspired by you and who love you. You may live alone in the Big Apple but all of your friends are celebrating with you today. Congratulations!

Are you going to stay active by running shorter races until you decide to enter the marathon again. Acknowledging those who have been impacted by the disease was a very sweet gesture.

I watched this with tears streaming down my face. I ran through New York marathon 8 years ago and my run didn't go as I planned either. I got a stress fracture 10km in -but I finished that marathon - I flew from Australia to run it - and ended up in a moon boot for 6 months. But even though I was disappointed this was the most memorable proud moment of my life. Thank you for letting me relive my marathon through you. This won't be your last marathon. I promise you. So proud of you

Chelsea, you are a warrior!! It is a tough course and to finish is a great accomplishment!! Life does get in the way so training for an event of this magnitude is hard even if you have time. Trust me, I know it was a balancing act for me as I trained for NYC Marathon. One thing that stuck with me is when I ran my first marathon in Chicago 2021, I was grateful to have finished in 5:28:16. This being my second marathon, I did it in 4:12:17. Keep plugging away as you have so much ahead of you. Courage is needed to make this dream a reality. And what a beautiful way to honor your dad. Yes, be very proud of yourself and parade that medal…I have!! 😊

She-ro!!!! My dad was a Larry too. He died of colon cancer at age 55. I’ve ran for him too! Healing from a broken fibula…but watching you has been inspiring! Great job Chelsea!

This was an epic effort Chelsea ❤. I’m so proud of you as I know everyone around you is too. So lovely to see your mum and sister as well. Pushing through all,the pain and tiredness has made you more resilient and adaptable. The mental toughness you’ve developed will take you through many of life’s challenges ahead. What a dedication to your dad and all those who have died from this illness. You’re one in a million Chelsea Callahan❤❤. #Fuckcancer

I only subscribed to you a couple of months ago so have only seen a small part of your journey and determination to run the marathon but this video made me cry - you are such an amazing person Chelsea, and I hope you know even in a small way how much your videos speak to so many people and make them feel a little less alone or scared at times. Well done on such an amazing achievement, and lots of love from Ireland.

Congratulations, Chelsea! Inspirational! My daughter and I will be running it this year. It's our first time running NY. About your foot pain, if it felt like a burning sensation in the ball of your foot, it could have been metatarsalgia. Also, my daughter thinks the vaporfly shoes she wore in our last marathon gave her a foot injury as well. Best wishes!

Even though I don’t know you, I’m super fucking proud of you. I’ve gone through two major injuries and three surgeries in the past three years and I hope that I can run the New York City Marathon in the upcoming years as well. Sometimes I get really emotional just being able to walk/run or seeing people accomplish such thing makes me wanna cry. Once again, super proud of you, may you accomplish even greater things. Greetings from Germany, sending you love and energy.🌻

Amazing job, congrats!! 🥳 I just ran my first half-marathon in Louisville on the same day as you and I was thinking about you as I was running (and how crazy it was that you were running DOUBLE what I was lol)! Watching your videos and seeing you train in everyday life helped motivate me to train in my everyday life - I’m so thankful and so proud!! I hope you know how much you’ve impacted me and so many others 💕

Chelsea, I came across your channel a few months ago after a trip to New York. All I can say is THANK YOU for your authenticity. Life is hard and so is running a freaking marathon, but I appreciate that you document everything, not just the good stuff. I’m planning to run my first marathon next year and you continue to be such an inspiration. Thank you for being a bright light in this world!
