Yes to the straw! It allows me to literally not think about drinking since I can grab my cup and drink without moving my eyes from the computer while im working. If I had to unscrew a cap or tip my head back, I would have to think about it and wouldnt do it as often.

Love to see how people implement habits. I used intermittent fasting and home cooked dinners and daily walks to joyfully get to my high school weight. No more dieting! I eat anything I want, but not at home. I have to go out to have ice cream. now am learning a new language with tiny habits and seeing progress. Now I need to add strength training (grandchildren are my motivation). ❤ Good tips.

As of this video, I have officially re-subscribed to your channel. I had been telling myself for over a year now that since I'm no longer vegan that I shouldn't or couldn't watch or benefit from your content. But, then I'd "sneak" and watch them anyways. I don't know if I thought that the video or vegan authorities would stop me or what 😂😂 But, the truth is, vegan or not, you offer such amazing advice that it applies to us all...and the best part is the energy and kindness you exude makes everyone feel like we've been best friends since birth! ❤ Thanks for the continued mentoring and sharing your truths, something I know I benefit from and need in my life.

Thank you Chelsea, great talk and great examples. As I get older I understand and value the power of ‘embracing the weird’ more and more ! Not trying is far more hurtful in long term than feeling the embarrassment for a moment, and one’s attitude determines how others react. Sense of humour and lightness is always good way to deal with embarrassing moments ! You have to become your own cheerleader 🙌🙌

I have to say I liked your straw comment. So many times i get caught up by things I "could" do for myself. Hummus from scratch is a huge culprit. But you know what almost always happens to the garbanzo beans I soak... they go bad and I have to throw them out because I can never plan the timing right and I get lazy about making the hummus when they are ready. I started just doing the easiest path for now, and it helps alot. Thank you for saying it!

Have you read 'Mindset' by Carol Dweck, Chelsea? Your story about your friends being uneasy at the skate park reminded me of her concept of growth mindset vs fixed mindset. Being scared to look like a fool ties in with fixed mindset, whereas having a go, failing, and trying again until you get it is an example of growth mindset. That's the tip of the iceberg but if you haven't read it, I think you'd find it very interesting. It focuses, in part, on how different kinds of praise can hugely affect a child's development and achievement potential but it applies to adults, too.

Wow, I absolutely loved this- THANK YOU!! My question is what did it look like for you to fail fast with your KZbin channel? I want to share more content but I’m afraid if my quality is too poor or I make some other sort of mistake, social media is unforgivable because of its wide reach and “permanence” if people save/reshare it in the future.

Love this video - extremely helpful. For the girl who said she microwaves her broccoli at work. Well, that isn't about getting over embarassment - the odor is REAL for others lol. The trick is to cook it at home then just reheat at the office. A collague cooked it from raw at work and the office space was unusable for hours! Easy fix that keeps consideration for others on your radar (as office spaces aren't ventilated for cooking as in homes).

I have to buy individual yogurts, because when I purchase the larger one I am less likely to make my breakfast. All i do is add chia seeds, fiber cereal, and fruit to it... but that extra step of spooning out the yogurt from a larger tub was a barrier. Small conveniences matter.
