Loved the video and the explanations. And of course the little sweetheart. I understand you’re very busy but would it be possible to have some percentages please for the oils etc. Thank you so much.

All of these shampoo bar videos have been really interesting. I liked hearing about different hair types/why they do what they do, and need what they need. My hair is close to your daughter's here (she's so cute and articulate, btw) and I've been experimenting with the Curl or Shine/Purify shampoo paired with either Quench/Curl conditioner. Having a little trouble finding the right combo of products/how often they're used/where they're applied/how long they're left to soak in. Anyway, all these videos have given me some ideas of other things to try; good stuff!

Some type of cream gel or gel while your hair is still wet than don’t comb or brush it again until completely dry then finger comb can help keep them. If you want that is.

@@MrsSoapAndClay ahhhh! Like a weirdo I am scrolling through all your videos looking for this recipe as well…..can you give a hint what day in year two? I just found you and will start watching your vids cause you totally rock! My friend uses a shampoo bar where listed ingredients are oils and clay only and I’m convinced they left off the lye in their ingredients list cuz I don’t get how the bars solidify without it! I think your recipe will work for her.

I would love the recipe for this shampoo as well. My daughter’s hair is the same as your daughter’s curly locks!! I’ve looked for the recipe on your channel but am unable to find it? Are you able to share a link? Alternatively I am happy to buy it? I’m in Australia so buying your products would cost too much for postage.

I read the nih study and the conclusion was that salon brands more often hit the proper pH level. They additionally concluded that the pH being too high does damage by causing the hair strands to stick to each other (and hair strands are pH of 3.7) the whole point of the paper was how bad high pH is which is why people need all these deep conditioners and have dandruff and frizz problems...
@MrsSoapAndClay2 жыл бұрын
That’s not exactly what the abstract states, but yeah for sure the salon products are more likely to have a lower pH. In the full study they discuss higher pH possibly leading to breakages, but that’s only one potential factor in a person’s hair journey. The biggest takeaway for me from the study is the wide range of pH from all the samples! 3 to 9, I think? Wild.

Just another amazing video, I would rather do these shampoo bars rather than using all those other ingredients in the other process for these shampoo bars, that at the end are synthetics, we can’t even pronounce their chemistry’s name, cocom….betane, which I am familiar with,.😏 etc. But, first, beautiful daughter and her curls are lovely ☺️. However, going on, how do we calculate the PH, I mean , adding all these ingredients does it guarantee that the PH will be the appropriate for the scalp or better buy a thermometer 🌡? I do want to try this definitely, thank you again for sharing your time and knowledge.

I had a question...I have curly/wavy hair and try to go 4 or 5 days before I wash it, but what about in the summer when it's really hot and you sweat a lot? Or if you workout every day and you just sweat Every Day? How can I cleanse my scalp so that the bacteria from the sweat doesnt multiply but also not dry out my curls from shampooing it every day? I have not been able to find a solution to this :/ thankyou!
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Such a good question! One with many answers, depending on hair needs. For the kidlet, we do dry shampoo in between proper shampoos, or do a shower with just a conditioner that we massage into her scalp as well as her curls on the between shampoo days. Keeping up with curly hair is SO MUCH WORK!
@Butternub5673 жыл бұрын
@@MrsSoapAndClay is it a cleansing/clarifying conditioner or just a conditioner? Does this do the job in cleansing the scalp? Haha, tell me about it! And there arent any industries or hair care places that have any ACTUAL tips on curly hair 🤦♀️ I'm new to curly hair, just found out a couple years ago that when I dont brush it, it isnt a poodle anymore, its curly!! And I'm finding that our society isnt really geared to ANY textured hair whatsoever 🥴😩 I dont know if there are any dry shampoos that dont have silicones or sulfates, but I will look for some!
