I am assuming you are using oz by weight not volume, correct?

You assumed correctly when you read "oz" which stands for (ounces) in the video

Can I use something different than sunflower oil. I am severely allergic to sunflower seeds.
@beautybooster_diy48484 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use a different oil, but be sure to use a soap calculator to adjust the lye and water amounts for the specific oils and butters you're using, as these amounts will vary slightly.

This looks like really good ingredients. I never thought of carrot for hair.
@beautybooster_diy4848 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Carrot infused coconut oil moisturizes, promotes growth, adds shine, improves scalp health, and makes hair more manageable, for healthier and stronger hair so a good addition to this shampoo bar.

What about ph of this bar and ph of scalp dear?
@beautybooster_diy4848 Жыл бұрын
You can check the PH of your shampoo bar using a PH strip after 4-6 weeks when it has cured
@naturallymamaru10 ай бұрын
I love the idea of infusing coconut oil. Never tried infusing any hard oils or butters before. But I doubt the bar you created can be called a shampoo bar. The pH level of a shampoo should be below 5.5 while the pH level of any cold processed soap such as this one is in the range of 8 to 10, isn't it? Or do you combine this bar with some conditioner to balance the pH?
@beautybooster_diy484810 ай бұрын
In formulating my shampoo bar recipe, I meticulously selected ingredients with the aim of achieving a harmonious balance. The incorporation of coconut oil serves not only to provide nourishment but also to contribute to an optimal pH level conducive to effective hair care. Additionally, certain formulations may incorporate acidic elements or natural pH adjusters to bring the pH closer to the ideal range for hair health. It's crucial to recognize that individual variations in hair types and preferences exist. Some individuals may discover that a slightly elevated pH level works favourably for their hair without causing any adverse effects.

Cp shampoo is an actual thing. I’ve found it works much better on my hair than creamy store bought shampoo. It took a couple weeks to transition and for my hair to adjust to the natural ingredients rather than all the harsh chemicals in store bought shampoo, but it’s worth giving it a try before you poo poo it out of hand.

Hi there, how is this different from a cold processed soap bar?
@beautybooster_diy4848 Жыл бұрын
My shampoo bar is uniquely formulated to address hair and scalp needs, featuring carrot-infused olive and coconut oils, black castor oil, sunflower oil, and jojoba oil. These ingredients are chosen for their potential benefits in promoting hair health and reducing hair loss. The inclusion of peppermint and rosemary essential oils further support scalp health and stimulate hair growth. Unlike traditional soap, which is formulated for skin cleansing, my shampoo bar focuses on nourishing and caring for hair, making it suitable for a specialized hair care routine to potentially improve hair condition and minimize hair loss concerns. Hope that helps. Thank you

Can you do this recipe without using titanium dioxide?
@beautybooster_diy48488 ай бұрын
yes you can, just leave it out
@barbaraayala7808 Жыл бұрын
I think I missed something because in the video you added the 4 oz carrot infused coconut oil, the 5 oz carrot infused olive oil, Jamaican Castor Oil, then the sunflower & jojoba oil, what did you add after that? I have tried this recipe 2 times and I'm looking at your video showing the black castor oil, and a container of sunflower & jojoba, then something else and it didn't say what it was before you added the lye. The recipe never set when I did it. Is it just these 5 ingredients? I've tried several of your recipes and they have always come out wonderful :-) . I've tried it with the infused oils and without and both would not set. Am I missing something ?
@beautybooster_diy4848 Жыл бұрын
No, I just run these ingredients through the soap calculator to check and everything is spot on so I don't know why its not working for you, my measurements are 100% correct. Is your lye temperature and soap batter correct when pouring lye water into batter?
@barbaraayala7808 Жыл бұрын
@@beautybooster_diy4848 so strange ... I tried it again and I bought the Jamaican Castor Oil this time and it just did not set up. I didn't even add fragrance. 😞 I'm so sad. I didn't use the infused oils this time, just straight coconut and olive oil. I used the 1.90 of lye but the soap doesn't even heat up at all and I used 5 oz of water instead of the 5.32. All you're recipes been good for me. I don't understand why I can't get this to work. I'll try a different shampoo bar you have and see if it works. Thank you :-) Your's looks good 🙂🥰

@@barbaraayala7808 I'm sorry to hear that the soap recipe didn't turn out as expected. It's strange because the ingredients are correct, if you were to put them in the soap calculator measurements are exactly what I gave. I wish I could offer you more help and advice, but you followed the correct steps. Best of luck with your next recipe.

What is the purpose / function of the titanium dioxide please?
@beautybooster_diy48487 ай бұрын
Titanium dioxide in shampoo and soap bars serves as a whitening agent, enhancing the product's visual appeal. It doesn't directly contribute to cleansing or conditioning but aids in maintaining the bar's color and consistency. In cosmetic products, titanium dioxide is generally regarded as safe when used in appropriate concentrations. It's insoluble in water and doesn't penetrate the skin, minimizing potential risks. Regulatory bodies approve its usage in cosmetics, ensuring its safety for consumer application. You can leave this ingredient out if they wish.

This soap can last for several years when stored properly but that also depends on the shelf life of the ingredient's you are using too and their expiry date.
