Unlike the West, China always admire and respect others who do well and aspire to improve and do better for themselves and the next generation. The west always feels threatened and jealous when another country does better than them. Every accusation they made is a confession of their deeds. Chinese people are peaceful people and never wanted to dominate another race. History is a good example of China's past, never wanted to colonise another country or be #1 or hegemonic. China has over 40 ethnic minorities and they all live in peace and harmony. No ethnic tension or conflicts in its history. IT is not in the Chinese DNA to conquer and rule. When you go to a Western museum all you see are portraits of wars and conquering heroes and destruction of other races. But in Chinese museums you always see pictures and portraits of sceneries and nature.

纠正一个问题：长江索道不是第一条跨江运营的客运索道，因为在它开通前几年已经有一条嘉陵江索道在运营。两条索道相距不远，只是不在同一条江上。嘉陵江索道修建的时候我正在北站下方读幼儿园，应该是80年代初，因为我1983年上小学了。后来随着嘉陵江上过江大桥越来越多，这条索道就拆掉了。
