Hmong dishes are the most underrated Asian fare there is. It's so fresh, peppery, herbaceous, and simple.

I made some pepper for Father's day. My in-laws are Vietnamese and would never try my peppers on a daily so I transitioned to a tiny mortar and pestle. I served rare-medium rare Steak with Classic Pepper dip and it was gone. The next day, my wife was going to throw the ends of the Asparagus. I told her, I'll make something. Roasted Asparagus-ends Peppers with Garlic, Oil, and Shallots. Thank you for your videos for some inspirations!

I'm not sure what it's called, but my dad says it's Pepper Meat. Typically using the dried meat after Thanksgiving, my dad would smash some pepper, add in dry meats, and green onion and ginger. That's my favorite.
@MrJeremyMagic Жыл бұрын
I know what you're talking about. "Nqaij Txob". Meat that is dried. Then mixed with pepper. It's basically minced jerky with pepper. It's super good. Very convenient for quick snacks or on the go eating.

Like a buffalo type of effect. The roasted onion herb pepper dip I definitely agree with eating that as is with rice. Certain variations of the sauce are like stand alone side dishes to me, like the mushroom one exactly I love mushrooms

These all look SO delicious and do-able. It's amazing the variety you can get from one basic recipe/ingredients (peppers, garlic, salt, fish sauce, cilantro & green onions). My family mainly makes Indonesian sambals as our go-to condiment on everything. I can't wait to make a couple of these pepper dips with ingredients from my garden. Do you grow your own cilantro & green onions?
